My only wish is that I could watch it the same way I watch all the other major and minor events because the TV production itself isn&#8217;t great compared a giants live stream or rouge etc </p>

<p>When doing assistance I notice that you have periods of doing 2 sets and then doing the 5/3/1 prescribed 50-100 reps. What dictates this change in assistance reps and what are you trying to achieve with each? I assume the 5&#215;10&#8217;s are nowhere near failure and pretty much just stay the same load throughout in contrast to the 2 sets&hellip;</p>

<p>I can currently hit a double on a BB with 220kg. So depending on how the axel feels I&#8217;ll go a touch heavier but stick with the progressions you&#8217;ve suggested and will use the band. </p>
<p>I&#8217;m fine with all the pressing events can already press more than comp weight &#8211; MDB, Axel and Log. Yoke will&hellip;</p>

<p>How would you peak for an Apollon wheel deadlift w/ chains. Reps in 60’s. 9” pull from block?</p>
<p>First comp in about 12 weeks. I’ve been doing paused snatch grip deadlifts for this acc phase, I don’t fancy doing them again, they’re disgusting. I find deadlifting extremely taxing and I’m getting old so recovery is a bit janky.<br&hellip;</p>

I had you touching podium this year. With all the injuries you&#8217;ve had and still coming even stronger/faster &#8211; Impressive!</p>
<p>I&#8217;m hearing the platform was uneven (on sand) is this what led to injury? </p>
<p>Keep it up &#8211; can&#8217;t be a strongman without a strong mind &#8211; so don&#8217;t let the setbacks, set you back!</p>
