Most of that 7kg is probably due to dehydration, get yourself completely better and that weight will soon come back with training and eating.

I’ve had this issue with working abroad, I take some bands with me or find a local park, use the kids climbing frames very early in the morning for dips and chin ups. I have used the bands by rapping around things for pulldowns/rows etc.

I have used vitamin c and also cherry active in my intra shake for years now, is there any reliable sources or studies to back this up? I have googled it but didn’t find anything apart from a T Nation post. Cheers

I ordered mine from a company called physiodirect but can’t find the company now, I did just have a look. There are plenty inversion tables available online. I would just read the reviews and check for build quality.

Hi, I was exactly the same 3 years ago. My disk was that bad the Dr wanted to remove it, but at 29 I decided not to have the operation. I am now glad I didn’t.
Below is what I used to help me get back to normal, and what I learned from my pain.
Ice for the first few days.
I brought a pump up belt called air lomb got it online ordered from France, this was worth every penny. The belt got me from not being able to walk without wanting to cry with pain, to being able to walk 10mins to do the school run.
I also brought an inversion table, this was also the best money I have ever spent. What I did was hang upside down for 20-30mins then do cobras. I did this 3x a day.
I did stretching but I’m not sure how much it really helped but I did it anyway.
Very important is getting the core strong, so planks and side planks, I timed myself doing these and added seconds each day to build up my core.
A stretch called nerve flossing also helped, have a look on YouTube.
I took hydrolysed collagen to help rebuild the disk.
    Reverse hyper extensions also helped.

If you want anymore info please ask.

I use carnipro from myprotein, I have tried the banana flavour that was very nice. You will need a blender though, don’t waste your time and protein using a shaker. I still use carnipro just to change from whey but now unflavoured only, with some stevia drops and it still tastes rough.

Jan, thanks for the info. My friend has it prescribed and has said exactly the same. I’ll stick with what Dr Dean has said with the last shot being the morning before I leave.
