Normally the gag reflex should have stop as you are almost one year post op

I would check a doctor again ans if possible the specialist which made you the surgery

Hi, it was a umbilical hernia so belly button, but I’ve had no pains or issues in the immediate time after the op and after the recovery. So I’m not thinking it is that ? It’s only the last 4-6 weeks this has started and can’t pin point what it could be 🙄 very frustrating
