Does anyone have any suggestions as to an alternative PWO meal? I too have this issue and find the standard whey/cereal options just completely unappetising at the moment, due to hammering them for a long time.

I have found brands to vary hugely in taste. Willy’s unfiltered ACV is a bit more expensive however is palatable and even rather nice as a salad dressing. Its about £6 at Waitrose.

You can make a hell of a roast dinner at home for 1200 calories, wouldn’t even count it as a “cheat” meal if done right. Good quality ingredients make the difference, if you par boil your spuds before roasting you can get away with minimal fats and still get crispy golden roasties. Add in some extras like stuffing, plenty of veggies, and a lean cut of meat or chicken!
