Mike Mentzer – Classic about HIT . Must read
Built to the hilt-written by a really knowledgeable guy.and is very insightful
Westside book of methods, strength training at its finest, if you havnt heard of Louie simmons or westside barbell you must watch Westside vs the world on Netflix, expensive to get a paper copy, but for anyone who is serious about strength its great
Science and principles of strength training- that in combination with the Science and development of muscular hypertrophy IMO gives the reader some ever lasting knowledge
Please share some others guys, still really interested to hear from you

Use music , make a playlist on YouTube/ iTunes, stuff that raises your heart rate and drives you
like Kamara a pre-workout routine should help, I know this is insane but since you’ve been sharing with difficulties I share something that helps me, I have a book that has pictures, emotive words , quotes , things that press my buttons, make me tick, now for some people photos of Arnie will do the job, but I need real emotive stuff, look at people you admire and take photos, one example for me is guy called Charles Upham, achieved the Victoria cross twice , I read this before I train and listening to the music at times makes feel empowered
I am going to put in this post and the next post some pics of an ancient powerlifting article and I recommend you read it and post back on here what you think that guy thinks and what motivates him and we can have a conversation about motivation , and this might help you to think about what motivates you

Lots of exercise
A good GDA like TrainedByJP IN Sure – 3-5 caps daily.
A good , well laid diet plan Lower on carbohydrates- ideally I would have then just pre n post if one of my main goals was insulin sensitivity.
If you truly feel this is effecting your physique I would run a keto diet for 6 weeks. This will improve insulin sensitivity the fastest
I second this, try these methods before trying metformin
I would also get a blood test called HbA1c, which can indicate pre-diabetes/insulin insensitivity
Also buy glucose finger-prick test kit, can get an all one kit for 10/15quid, then you can test your fasting blood glucose (FBG), thus quantify what is working and to what extent, very easy to do, could post your results up on here on most of the lads know how to read blood work or at least FBG
If you have any further queries please ask, and if you get results in the future post them up here and tag me in it and I shall try my best to help you

MemberApril 17, 2020 at 7:41 pm in reply to: Lockdown Reading List-Renaissance Periodisation 2.0Thanks Oscar sounds like a great book, I shall put that on my list
Scott’s book is great, something relatively similar is break the code by Chris Wormley, again packed with information and is fantastic
I have added 2 books which changed my life, I cried at the end of the alchemist and A mans search for meaning literally helped me find strength when my life was completely in pieces. I would highly recommend both.
Ageed Kamara, so dense in information, so much covered to completely change your posture, even the way I walk, prior to that book I relied upon a book called ultimate flexibility, not as good and martial arts based, but did help. I always try to look at aspects in other sports/lifestyle choices which are transferable to improve my life and that of the others I can help.
Thanks Kuba, I presume you mean Championship Bodybuilding, never read in its totality but looking on amazon I have seen he’s got a few books, so I might have get those. A really good one, but takes some patience but is so worth is Science and development of muscular hypertrophy
Big Ben Riche, couldn’t agree more mate, I’m always waiting for the next video to come out, like you said plenty to learn. I just like to supplement it with reading and research.
Please feel free to add some more in here guys, I want to get as much information as I can and at least talk to people about their experience of other texts, I have quite a few more which have helped me in very different way, diet, training, recovery and what I find equally Important is the development of the mentality, not just through our actions, but insight into others opinions and mindset.
Look forward to hearing from you all
Thank you for your input so far

Would it be beneficial when utilised between cycles to help maintain some of the cycle gains for 3 months at a time? Or is that to little and needs longer/ way better results from using it in combo with AAS?
Appreciate the responsesPut some advice re. your question on your previous post bud
https://www.trainedbyjp.com/forums/topic/12-weeks-test-350mg-a-week-followed-by-12-weeks-ghrp-2-and-cjc-no-dac/%5B/quote%5DThanks Andrew.
Would you suggest a igf-1 or serum HGH test to test the legitimacy of the HGH you’re buying?
Also if you know any clinics that do this.
Yes buddy, all depends on the individual, whether they need them or not.
Thanks for the reply, I was told by someone that no one uses nolvadex for on cycle estrogen control anymore so I just wanted to check
I’ve always felt better using nolvadex vs aromatase inhibitors personallyThey work differently, Nolvadex will not control Estrogen although it will prevent it binding thus preventing Gyno.
Hey brother thanks for letting me know
I believe aromatase inhibitors bind to the aromatase enzyme preventing androgens to aromatase to estrogen
And nolvadex binds to the estrogen receptor itself which prevents estrogen from bindin to the estrogen receptor
Do you know how strong nolvadex is in terms of strength vs actual estrogen? I read nolvadex is actually a really weak type of estrogen itself. So it actually works like estrogen but a very weak version of it
Also does anyone know which estrogen receptors nolvadex binds to and antagonizes vs agonizes?
I was reading how nolvadex selectively activated certain estrogen receptors and deactivated others depending on the location of the receptor. Ie bone, skin, liver, breast, muscle, estrogen receptors either were activated or deactivated
I’m curious if anyone has a list of which receptors nolvadex activates and deactivates?
To answer a few of your previous questions, I have referenced some material that should help answer your questions about tamoxifen and it’s binding sites. Mainly being breast tissue, but also the hypothalamus and liver.‘Tamoxifen citrate is classified as a selective estrogen receptor modulator, with both agonist and antagonist properties (also known as an estrogen agonist/angagonist).
It is specifically a Selective Estrogen-Receptor Modulator (SERM) of the triphenylethylene family, and possesses both estrogen agonist and antagonist properties. As such, it may act as an estrogen in some tissues while blocking the action of estrogen in others.
In breast tissue tamoxifen citrate is a strong anti-estrogen.
Tamoxifen citrate also possesses the ability to increase production of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone). This is accomplished by blocking negative feedback inhibition caused by estrogen at the hypothalamus, which (via the actions of GnRH) fosters the release of the mentioned pituitary hormones.
Note that like some other triphenylethylene compounds, tamoxifen citrate can act as an estrogen in the liver . Estrogenic action in the liver is important in the regulation of serum cholesterol, and tends to support HDL (good) cholesterol synthesis and LDL (bad) cholesterol reductions. Since steroid-using bodybuilders are already dealing with the negative cardiovascular effects of these drugs, compounding the issue with aromatase inhibitors (which will lower total serum estrogen levels) may not always be the best option. Using a drug that blocks gynecomastia, for example, while at the same time supporting improved cholesterol values, might be much more ideal. ( william llewellyn, Anabolics, 2000,p 8968-9024, kindle edition)
Hope this helps. So it can act in a variety of complex mechanisms in the liver and hypothalamus, but mainly acts as a strong anti-estrogen in breast tissue
Please let me know if you have any further questions

7 days will do fuck all but mess with aldosterone and electrolyte balance.
Why are your joints killing? Potentially Low e2, this takes times to correct and balance at the right level, that’s assuming it is low e2 causing joint issues, could be something else and this takes time, longer than 7 days
Why could NPP help? Potentially collagen synthesis ( but that is undecided upon, if I remember rightly it’s due to oxyproline expression and a variety of other factors), however irrespective if it helps relieve joint pain or not it takes longer than 7 days
The final option, which to my knowledge isn’t used in bodybuilding but powerlifting/strength sports is load up on deca to help the joints through and extended period of time, so if peaking for comp before all the Andro’s like halotestin are used, you would have at least 6 weeks of deca and then tren and halo into a/few comps. However this type of use depends on your class, as it would give some level of water retention, and you need to consider if you are willing to accept that through both shows
In short, I wouldn’t bother, advice as per the lads above, NSAIDs if it’s unbearable

Due to my current studies I do have ‘full’ access to research papers, at least I think many of the main Journal Publications
Might sound pointless, but do you ever purchase a physical copies ? As I like to annotate and explicate the pieces I read and study
Thanks – Andrew

Personally I would leave the tren for the cut, but still good for bulking, I would use test/deca/ dbol for the bulk and test/tren/anavar for cut, that with a cruise between would yield fantastic results
IMO 400 is too high to start at say 150mg of tren e would do the job for a first run, you will get a taste of what it feels like, your blowing your load jumping at 400
For the bulk I would run a different oral, dianabol/oxymetholone, save the anavar for the cut
