Hear this so often, look at other factors first before throwing out the overtraining term.
You’re young (should have plenty of energy!) but you’re quite light and low bodyfat. Do you go out partying at all? Alcohol will have a big effect on your lifts.
Eat more, sleep well and be consistent. It’ll come š -
What’s your routine look like?
I hit legs last night wearing sleeves, got a good burn and pump in my quads!

Pahahaha love the honesty here. I’m fortunate (in some weird way) that there are very few fitties at my gym and mostly just blokes! My last gym I got distracted waaaay too easily too often hahah
How do I get one of those for myself anyway?Looks like a good session! š

Cool, keep us updated. Be good to hear your feedback š
Hit a great full body session last night, 2nd in a row. Different exercises of course. Front squats were killer but felt great. Definitely couldn’t do a 3rd tonight though… haha

Got an assisted machine? I can do a few bodyweight pullups but soon as I start fatiguing (pretty quickly!) I find it very hard to get the connection and execution I’m looking for! Using assisted (-20 or -30kg) makes a huge difference and I can really focus on hitting the lats. Already finding progress and having to use the assisted a little less each time.

I’ve done the same thing and switched back to basics and started doing full body workouts.
With work, travel and being busy as hell this time of year I’m in the same situation, sometimes I end up having to train consecutive days. I’ve struggled with a few sessions due to doing them back to back but I have managed them… just. HahaI wouldn’t do more than 2 in a row though, 2 was enough to kill me, especially if you’re focusing on execution and making those 2 sets count!
Might have to take Corinne’s advise on board myself though and look at an Upper / Lower split

Looking good mate. That leg work out looks brutal. No wonder you’re in bits! haha

Get well soon mate! Always frustrating trying to train while sick š
My training is slacking this week, been away too much and Christmas parties plus working a couple of extra shifts. Training tomorrow night and Thurs then can hopefully squeeze another in on Fri or Sat before work.
Cold gym, can relate to that! Wish mine would get a bit of heating on! haha

Looking great fella!
Can you go in to a little more detail on the reverse banded squats please? I saw your instastory on these. Set up the band wrong or something?
What are you trying to target and achieve with the reverse bands? Take load off at the bottom? -
Yes happens a lot, especially trying to post a new topic. Have to switch between web and app.

Man I get so lost when people start talking about cycles and all the different compounds.
I think if I ever go down that route I literally need someone to go, “here take this and this,at this time, this many times a week” keeping it simple for me lol
Just saw your post where you mentioned 140kg squats for 15 reps! Impressive mate! My last squat session was 70kg for 15! But they felt great and I can definitely go heavier, just taking my time and getting used to this new approach to training.

Good stuff mate. Good luck with the journey and the comp! Look forward to further updates.

Yep, if you can’t chew it, blend it! Not ideal but it’s calories and nutrients so it’ll work š
As Jack suggested, find some soft foods too, eggs and oats are life!
