MemberFebruary 9, 2026 at 6:22 pm in reply to: Training split around tearing both patellar tendonsSo pplpplr, is 3 sleep frequency . So the volume for that isn’t the same as pplr. The volume for the 6 on ( 3 sleeps ) , is the same as ULR volume , so looking at 2-4 sets per muscle group . Chest defo won’t be able for 4 , it will be 2 . Hams aren’t able for 4 it’s usually 3 . Eveyrhjng else can be 4 if it’s needed from a strengths /weakness perspective
Thank you for that! I appreciate the help. If I’m reading that correct, you are talking per session not per week/split cycle?

MemberFebruary 9, 2026 at 5:11 pm in reply to: Training split around tearing both patellar tendonsI appreciate that, atm Iโm running 8 to 10 working sets per muscle group a week. (Not including legs) all to failure.
Progress and strength isnโt moving as fast as it was pre injury. So Iโm trying to get a better understanding of the overall volume. Hope that makes sense -

Because a 6 on ppl is probably fine here as the L is rehab
Thank you for the reply! And most movements other than any type of hip hinge (balance is an issue) nothing is to failure, basically just going through the movements

Hey buddy! In my opinion you look in fair good condition to slowly push back up! But I would push back up slowly and keep cardio in to try and keep as much fat off as possible in the next push! Also great work by the way!
Hi louis! Cheers for the response! I was going to aim for 4-6 lbs increase a month. I will be on cycle also. Would you say this rate of gain is to fast?

Hey Buddy we would really need to see some physique pictures to give a proper assessment. Then we can assess body fat levels, as whats optimal for me body-fat wise in a growing phase may be different for you.
If digestion, sleep, performance, appetite are all good this is a good sign and 1lb a week is a steady rate of gain. But again pictures would be useful here buddyHi mate thank you for the reply! I have attached pics below. Apologies i couldnt find the unedited back pic ??โโ๏ธ[/quote]
Let me add also ive neglected legs for years but iโve made a change to this, so im aware legs are far behind -
