Everyone will be different here. I don’t think anyone will track there sodium from food sources just the added sodium intake.

I have some clients use 1g per meal and intra some 2g

In prep myself I used 3g per meal and intra so 21g daily.

I sometimes split this with lo salt too

Just start with 1g per meal and intra and keep it consistent bud

    Cheers Nathan

I am the same as Kam – I weigh my daily salt and have it with me for the day and spread across the day and I don’t count salt from other foods just the added salt

I also just weigh my daily intake in a pot and spread it out on daily meals.

I’m eating the same food 99/100days, so i dont count salt from the food, just the add on, so i can manipulate in prep

I personally weight out my daily salt intake and pop it in a little pot then just make sure I space it out and get it all in throughout the day. I don’t count salt from the foods I’m eating just the salt I’m adding.

How do you feel on that amount of salt? I’d say it’s probably a little over what you need but it would depend on how you feel? Potentially try 1g per meal if you’re concerned see how you get on and then you can increase from there if needed

I feel a bit weird to be honest, sometimes a bit brain fog

Unless you sweat alot or live in a hot country you don’t need salt on every meal. I never track salt unless in prep where I just count turns on the salt grinder then I know what I need to manipulate pre stage. If you enjoy tracking every single thing then go for it but it’s not necessary.

I agree with Oscar, I wouldn’t train these back to back, I’d just continue from the Sunday too.. I train one day on one day off split & if I’ve needed to, this is the approach I have been advised to take also!

cheers kerry, so take the extra rest day and attack the next day

    Hey Florian ,

If for some reason your couldn’t train , I’d always move that session to Sunday . You can use that day as a buffer for sessions missed as Monday is rest day , it gives you enough time to recover .

    Perfect, understood, thanks Oscar

If you train in a private gym, train. If you’re in contest prep within 8 weeks out, train.
If you train in a public gym, don’t be the douche that gets other people sick lol

If you feel ok to train I’d just crack on. Double up of vit c & k2&d3 even multi vit too.

If you get worse obviously rest but if it’s just a cold I would crack on

Thank you Kamara, yea i have been doubling up on vit c and d3&k2

I would train either way. But if the illness become worst – then I rest ofc

I will bump up vitamins as Kuba said.

I don’t take medicines; I always take vita d3 and C and in 2 days there are nothing anymore with throat and nose.

Perfect, thank you Allison, yeah i am following that protocoll right now

Hey buddy, personally I don’t like training when I’m unwell as I feel like it’s going to have a strain on my recovery, also I don’t like spreading potentially contagious virus to other gym members using same equiptment etc.

    Alright cheers Louis

Continue as usual , bump up your vit c to 2/3 g am & pm and d3 ( d3 you can safely go up to 50,000 iu for short periods when sickness is there )

    Alright cheers Kuba🤝🏻

If you feel ok to train, then go for it, but the fact you’re asking suggests that maybe you feel a little worse than you’re letting on. It won’t do you any harm to take a day off and could actually prevent the illness from developing, so just be honest with yourself. Consider the other members of the gym too. If you’re going to be sneezing and coughing over the equipment and potentially passing something onto others, then stay at home.

Yeah right clare, i think i feel better than i actually feel. So it makes more sense to just take the rest day and go to the gym tomorrow. Take a hot bath today, still do my cardio tho but nothing crazy intensity wise. Thanks for the response
