Ok so for me , everything is about comms and team building .
ATM I now have 2 arms to my business , the tbJP arm which is with Corinne and then the PF and MFG arm which is with someone else . My comms to those 2 , is non stop all day, from wake to sleep , including while I train .
Their role is the bridge between me and the day to day running of the business , they are the actual MVPs , as finding people who you can work with who are complete forces , is hard !
On the tbjp arm we have 7 staff working in tbe warehouse and 1-2 in tbe gym , so Corinne is overseeing 9 staff . We are about to bring in a site manager for tbjp who will be on site 9-5 daily across the whole place to maintain the highest standards possible, we had a great manager but she is moving on, we then have been able to hire someone with more experience again, so that’s exciting . The Site manager relays back to Corinne constantly through the day if need be , while relaying to the staff at the same time – a huge key part here is amazing staff , we have really great staff . A lot of that doesn’t need me ( I do read email trails constantly all day , so I do know exactly what is going on at any point , but it doesn’t actively need me unless Corinne comes to me . My job here is the bigger picture , how do we take tbJP to the next level again, how do we alter products , marketing , customer experience etc and I put plans in place , Corinne runs them downstream and we action them .
On the PF/MFG side , identical process , comms for me with 1 person . It’s very new so we are only at 2 staff there , but will need a 3rd soon , that team will grow to 10 ish again I would say based on what I think it can do . Again my role will be bigger picture and direction .
Because of the team building component , I’m able to cut a lot of things out of my day that prob are crazy time consuming for you , admin , accounts etc . I don’t do any of that , so I can be entirely focused on how we acquire the next customer . That’s my single focus , what area do we target to increase customer acquisition .
I don’t stop working from the moment I’m awake to go to sleep and I do it all through training . The diff for me is I fucking love it . It’s not work , I love love love love it .
The tbJP arm will be adding manufacturing next , that is going to be fucking epic as that will be another whole site again , another chain of staff . But because the new site manager for the tbjp arm is a beast experience wise , Corinne is going to add a lot of roles to her , while me and her are very hands on the manufacturing. I will need to be way way more involved in the launch side until I can step back and then play my usual position which is how can I then be the manufacturer for as many supp companies as possible, what do I need to do , to beat my competitors etc
ATM the hardest part is being so heavy is making me very tired . I’m defo not on my A game business wise at all , I’m off the pace , in that the manufacturing side I have barely looked at fully other than knowing I want it an offering on the building.
The position I’m in , with the right teams and comms, I can build many more arms to my operations , and as I gain experience in new areas , I would be happy to start to compete in any area of business . But the absolute key is team building and Comms. I have 2 people that can execute at the level I need to operate . Now I understand that I can actively seek that out too, which is defo easy to do as there are lots of very very driven people out there with incredible comms and management skill sets .
Watch this space , £100M turnover across all the arms , will happen ! When I don’t have the ability to inject copious amounts of drugs into me to build muscle , that focus will have to go elsewhere 🤣
this is awesome to read! I’v been the Head of Operations for Manufacturing for a few years and spent two decades in to so i know the pains you are going through especially when you are having to do the work within the areas as well as trying to run it and plan the next commercial strategy.
Great to see it all unfolding and looking forward to seeing that 100M turnover!

Impromptu session last night as my training partner can’t train towards the end of the week so rather than rest day, we hit up a delts and arms session. Turned out to be a very good session and the pump was nuts.
The session was:
Cable side raise – warm up
Plate loaded press x10, x10, x12+x10+x8 dropset
DB side raise x12, x12, x10+x10+x10 dropset
DB front raise x12, x12+x10 dropset
Rear delt – x25, x25
cable curl – 4 sets 20

Solid weekend of training – stuck to my usual sessions but didn’t log any weights as i wanted to get back in the groove of training and putting some weight back on.
Slight change to diet going forward.
TD
M1 – 30g whey, 40g PB, 140g Oats, 100g berries, 25g Honey (15iu Lantus)
M2 – 250g Steak mince, 100g rice, 30g cheese, 75g pineapple
M3 – 180g chicken, 100g rice, 10g rapeseed oil, 75g pineapple
M4 – 50g COR, 50 dextrose, 20g 85% dark choc, 2 nutrigrain (5iu slin)
INTRA – 75g dextrose, 15g EAA
M5 – 130g cocopops, 50g whey, 30g dextrose (5iu slin)
M6 – 30g whey, 40g PB, 140g Oats, 100g berries, Honey
NTD i do the exact same apart from miss the intra and dextrose in M4 and M5
Circa 5550 cals – 328 pro, 805 carb, 109 fat.
259lbs this morning so weight down a fair bit still from hol but with food and hydration should see it taper up over the course of the week

Landed back from Turkey Wed eve at 11:30pm and finally made it home at 7am yesterday.. one long ass day of travelling. Remind me never to fly from gatwick when i live in Leeds as it was a 4hr30 drive home from roadworks so 14 hours total travelling esp with young children.
Non the less it was straight in the shower, and headed out the door for a meeting and lunch with my new employer to meet the team ready to start on 17th. Came home, put the kids bunk beds up, ate two share bags of crisps and fell asleep exhausted.
Back in work this morning which will give me that routine back as i desperately need to get back in the gym.. was down 7kg from the holiday plus pissing around a couple of weeks before so really need to get back on track.

What a weekend for British bodybuilding. I was gutted they didn’t have a live stream but was glued to Instagram stories and lives.. James, Marc, Kuba, Meg, Kamara, Jade and Rhea over the pond smashed it.
It still made me chuckle when people were doubting James as he was getting help from JP and not Ptour.. As great as everyone knows JP is, i think they seem to forget he was an incredible coach way before coaching was a popular “thing” i knew it would be something special to see.
Weight back up to where it was before the little set back and a really good weekend of training as my training partner was back from his holiday so we got straight back to it.
Friday was chest & delts, Sat was back and Sunday was legs.
Last night was meant to be a rest but ended up training which i am glad i did as i saw a friend and old training partner who is coached by nath so jumped in with him to do his session and hit some good number so was happy with that.
I fly to turkey with the wife and kids on Thursday and can’t wait to just shut it off for a week and spend some quality time with my family before i start my new job.
Will come back, re intro the supps as still not started and then get cracking on a plan for 2023.

Solid session last night for back and feeling it this morning. Lots of work on lower lats as i feel that is a weak area for me.
Weight is coming back up after a couple of days of regular eating and getting fluids in so hopefully by end of weekend i’ll be back to where i was and then keep ticking away until holiday on the thursday.
Last time i was in Turkey in June i was two weeks post show still shredded.. this time i’m deep offseason and got a dad bod so it’s luckily i’m taking the kids haha.

Well this week i haven’t really been accountable as per the log says.. A lot of stresses from all angles hitting me which has been difficult for me to manage so i haven’t been to the gym since last Friday as i haven’t had the time, energy or desire too..
i feel like every 6 months or so i get burnt out (was back in march when i went through the same before)
Had my bloods back as previously mentioned but there was an error in the test result. Had it redone and it cam back within normal range 24.1nmol/L so its crazy to think i have gone from 97kg stage to 122.5kg completely “natural” levels.
Hopefully get this weekend out the way and finish up a big order at work and i’ll be a little less stressed and can focus again.
Because of the above i still haven’t started my cycle yet and just running test only.

If wanting to be in the special forces i would def stay off steroids and go the natural route.
1 – I’m sure you’ll get drug tested at some point
2 – why shut down your natural levels when it is simply not needed.. you will be worse off when you stop taking it and having to recover naturally. Recovery will be in the sh*tter.

IMO that is a fair whack for just a holiday cut – if you are legit in single digit bf there won’t be much to come off, if anything at all that would require drastic measures to do so.. if you pull down hard just for this week you’ll soon have a big rebound the minute you are on holiday and eating calorie dense foods ect.
You can potentially cut carbs more, 150g is still room to play with.
Just keep on the track of what you are doing now.

Been a while since i have updated my diet so here it is:
M1 – 40g iso, 140g oats, 40g pb, 25g honey, 100g berries
M2 – 250g steak mince, 100g rice, 10g rapeseed oil, 150g pineapple
M3 – 180g chicken, 2 wraps, 2 bacon, 30g cheese, 350ml orange juice (been forgetting to have the OJ)
M4 (pre) – 95g COR, 40g iso, 3 nutrigrain, 20g 85% dark choc
Intra – 15g EAA, 65g Dextrose
M5 – 130g cocopops, 50g iso, 30g dextrose or fruit juice
M6 – 180g chicken, 3 bagel, 20g 85% dark choc, 35g jam
As i have been getting home late from gym (around 9:30pm) and still up early from work i have been subbing Meal 6 for steak burgers, brioche bun and then as i am just going to bed having some oats, whey and 85% choc.
For some this diet is a lot of processed and refined sugars but it suits me well for managing my work load, kids and having a poor appetite and seems to be working pretty well.. if body comp slides then will swap out some bits for more cleaner option but the aim is to grow like mad.
I put on my insta story yesterday a graph of my weight gain over the last 13 weeks and so far it is 57lbs all from 300mg test only.. my fatty areas are still in a good spot so i know i am good for a few more lbs as i progress into my cycle (still not on yet as not ordered the bits) lol.
Two days rest and back in last night from some Hams and back, was pretty tired going into the session as its been a big adjustment getting use to this carrying this new weight. I have never been this heavy so we are chartering into new territory which is exciting.
Regardless of the tiredness i beat all of my previous lifts so i was happy with how the session went.

Yesterday was TOUGH.. my training partner was pretty fatigued so was having a day off and i was kinda feeling the same so didn’t really want to train but needed to get out of the house for a little bit.
When you live in a 2 up 2 down house with young children and also trying to work from home when they are having one of those days where its just fighting, screaming, shouting along with being tired as they haven’t been sleeping until at least midnight, you just need some time out.
My wife went and did the food shop and then went to the gym. Then when she came home i went out and trained so we could both get some head space.
I was going to train arms and started warming up then a friend and recent training partner turned up to train back so i jumped in with him and worked through his plan. It gave us both the kick we needed to get a good session in.
I didn’t log the session but it was something like:

dual d handle pulldown
mid grip row (rear delt)
DB curl
EZ bar curl
tri pushdown
Was a decent session and really enjoyed it.

Hard session yesterday, a mixture of tiredness, humidity and lower back pumps played a role. Stilll managed to knock out a good session but didn’t break any numbers.
Still really unsure of the chest session atm, it’s one of my weak areas in terms of muscle development but one of my strongest body parts so If I go light I don’t feel it and if I go heavy I get a lot of delt activation.
Need to play around with some exercises, volume and frequency to really nail it. Every other session is locked in an spot on atm.

Really good session on back last night, everything clicked into place and felt every single movement in the right area.

266lbs this morning.. body weight PB 🙂 first time i have ever hit this in the AM.. even in a full blown offseason i was never was 266 in the AM so i am super happy.
ticking the boxes daily.
Still not introduced “supps” yet.
In for back tonight and really looking forward to getting stuck in.
