Hello All,
In a bit of a catch 22 …
Need some advice for moving forward Im at a bit of a stale position in my quote on quote ‘lifting career’
I really am enjoying the motions but feel I need advice moving forward, some basic information below which may aid in the answer given.
25 Years old
Can only realistically dedicate 3 days of training (due to birth of little girl so spending 4-5 days in the gym isn’t viable)
For the past 3 weeks I have been trying to lose some weight but not sure if this is a pointless exercise as I don’t exactly hold on to a lot of lean muscle mass. Just this week got back from a weeks break in Cornwall (Picture attached to give you an idea of how I currently look)(As of 3 weeks ago PT friend recorded the following details)
Biceps 13mm
Triceps 19mm
Back 16mm
Belly 25mmBodyfat measurement approx. 23.5%
Weight 198lb
198 x 0.235% = 46.53lbs Bodyfat
198 – 46.53 = 151.47lbs lean massMy situation is confusing as I don’t know at this current stage if cutting / bulking or eating at maintenance to try and drop BF% would be more beneficial as opposed to bulking to try and gain more lean mass to then later try and drop BF% more effectively.
Diet isn’t so much of an issue for me, I have a sedentary (office job) but train to what I think is my best ability and I am seeing increase in strength on a weekly basis, my diet isn’t too reliant around supps at current but if any of you feel some supps would be beneficial please feel free to state why. I may have a couple of whey protein drinks per day and use a multi vit 3 times per day.
Cals I have been sitting on are around 2200 and macro ratio of 45 / 35 / 20
if you need any further information please let me know as I don’t want this article to go on for too long.
Any advice much appreciated.
Cheers
Paul
