Thanks a lot for your answer !
Can I ask for a bit more details ?
Is it because the body has trouble building back muscle while fasting ?
Or that nutrients can be “wasted” when eaten in too large portion ?
I’m a natural athlete (for now at least) so i’m also looking to maximise my body’s hormones, and i recently stumbled upon studies claiming that fasting was very good to improve GH, autophagy of damaged or dead cells, etc.
But i wanted your wisdom before concluding anything.

I’m currently at 3000, on a good deficit (i ate a bit too much during christmas) in order to get “lean lean” before going back on a slight surplus and add some more muscle.
I’m a big eater, so as long as i select the right food i can get my macros down pretty easily in big meals.
I must admit it is also a bit convenient reagarding time, as my schedule is quite heavy on this new year (don’t mistacke my words, i’m glad for it !), but progressing as an athlete is still my n°1 priority so i’m eager to eat many time during the day in order to do so.
Currently i’m fasting from around midnight till 4 pm, then eat my first meal, train, eat my second meal and go to bed. I must admit that 600 grams of turkey in one serving is something to swallow, no pun intended !

I drink 5/6L all year round cause I do feel the need to
But you can def drink 4/5L
Kuba got it right for the quantity of salt to start
Me i use def a lot more, but the variable which is important is : how much salt you need to keep your values in range, and keep this amount stable then as much as your daily waterI’ll start at 6L per day and see how it goes from there.
Thanks a lot !

I don’t tend to measure this exactly. I think aiming for a minimum of 4-5 litres of fluids and salting each meal with a few grinds of Himalayan pink salt or Sea salt should be adequate. If you sweat a lot, then increase your fluid intake and consider supplementing with electrolytes also.
Your body is very good at indicating when you need more fluid through thirst, and if you’re urinating frequently, increase salt intake.
Thanks a lot,
so basically, listen to my body, the rest will follow.
Cheers.

1g salt per 1 L of water is a great start point.
Thanks a lot,
is there a general rule you would recommend to follow concerning water intake ?
Cheers.
