Hey guys!
Today I trained hams and glutes with Pheobe, we had a fab session. We try to get this in every Wednesday, it’s a chance for us to catch up too which I always love. Both of us progressed on our movements which was a win. Big glutes pending!
I then went to the hairdressers and got my hair coloured, it took a lot longer than expected, I hadn’t prepared enough meals and began to go hypo not great haha. Lesson learnt!

Evening guys!
Quad day for me today and despite the day I had yesterday I was surprised how well the session went.
I used the 45 degree cybex leg press today which was great, it’s the latest edition to the ultra flex leg kit.
<font face=”inherit”>My appetite isn’t great I always find this happens off the back of being unwell or out of routine</font><font face=”inherit”>. Tomorrow I am in for hams and glutes with Pheobe which I am very excited for!</font>

Hey Joe,
There’s a lot we could delve into here, are calories at a level to fuel your training?
Are you having enough rest days?
Are you hydrated?
Are you getting minimum 7h total sleep (not time in bed)
Whats your macros split?
What the quality of the food you eat?
Is your nutrition set up to actually see you progress?
When was your last deload?
A lot of people think they are doing more than they actually are, do you have a coach over looking everything? Are you being kept accountable?
Honestly, I find rep range has far less to do with your ability to progress in the gym than all the other things mentioned above. In fact iv never met a good bodybuilder doing all the things above and not progress in the gym, regardless of rep range.

I have to agree with Jordan here. When dieting you will feel hungry it’s part of the process 🙂 It’s always worth it when you get to the end goal 🙂

Hi guys!
Rest day for me today and currently havingthe worst period I’ve had in a very long time 🤒 I haven’t let this stop me for the most part, cardio still getting ticked off and a busy day of work has kept me occupied but due to the nausea I’ve struggled to get all meals in today. This isn’t a common occurrence and typically I don’t let much get in my way but today seems to be an exception.I’ve become quite a big advocate of cardio during the offseason. Obviously keeping body composition tight is great but being fit makes recovering from training easier, improves my appetite and feels good for my mental too!Quads tomorrow so the goal this evening is to get an early night and try to rest and recover.Xoxo -
Hey John,
I used to ride horses competitively and that was impossible whilst bodybuilding, so I stepped away from it.
You can’t be a jack of all trades when it comes to this sort of stuff, you need to chose your sport and stick with it otherwise they will both suffer and you’ll never be able to tell if you have potential in either of them.
Marathon training and a bodybuilding prep are polar opposites 🙂

Today I treated myself to a posterior session with my bf Max and damn it felt so good to train back! I don’t train my upper body anymore (which saddens me) because I’ve got enough tissue there for Wellness and it’s important I keep my lower body dominance to stay within the criteria.
As a former figure athlete I do miss being able to hit it, a good upper pump always feels great!
I’ve found that my upper responds from training legs, from holdings dbs, locking myself into a leg press and simply lifting weights on and off machines hahaha. I no longer do standard RDLs because my back gets far too thick.
It’s not a bad problem to have I guess but it’s also something I need to be aware of.
Other than training I’ve chilled today it’s been nice to switch off and relax ready for a busy week.

In my opinion she has the potential to do either, the bikini girls in pca are quite muscular and then trained imo are almost verging on figure girls.
Whereas in NPC the look is very different, more streamlined.
I’d go for bikini and get feedback.
At least you’ll know where she falls, her offseason training can be tailored around this that way 🙂

The show was great, we didn’t get what we wanted but that’s bodybuilding for you. He looked insane but however the guy who won deserved the win. Today was my brothers 3rd ever show and so far he’s taken 2 class wins, 2 overalls and a second today in another strong line up. The plan is to compete again in 4 weeks. I feel so blessed to be able to share my passion with him.
A huge highlight today was seeing Joe get his pro card a very special moment! We all know how much he wanted it.
After a 3 hour drive home I went straight to the gym to do cardio. Commitment 😉

Both trace and direct sources need to be accounted for when setting up a meal plan.
The reason you’ll see people only measure their protein from whole protein sources is because secondary protein from things like rice for example aren’t full proteins and so don’t do a complete job of having a set protein requirement. That isn’t to say any secondary proteins shouldn’t be tracked as this still accounts for total calories in / energy balance.

After a 3 hour drive down south we have arrived at the air bnb. So excited to go to the show tomorrow. I’ll be feeling all the nerves in the morning.
Before we left I trained lower, everything felt great, training is progressing nicely. This devolume week has defiantly done me the world of good.

Today was a much needed rest day for me.
I had to take my dog to the vets this am to get his operation booked in, unfortunately he has an acute ACL injury 🙁
This afternoon I had a massage, I have these weekly which really helps with my recovery. I strongly advise anyone who trains to have them done as frequently as possible, competitors especially. It will help not only with training, posing but muscle growth too.
In for legs tomorrow which I cannot wait for then heading down the Maidenhead to watch my brother compete on Saturday.

Training today was great, i woke up feeling a bit beat up but that soon passed.

Booty builder 1 x 6-10 1 x 10-15
Lying hamstring curl 2 x 10-12
B stance rdl 1 x 8-12
Abductors 2 x 15-20
Looking forward to my rest day tomorrow 🙂 🙂
