    If you need to train while you’re away just pick which ever one feels good. I wouldn’t over worry while you’re on holiday. Play around with some different equipment and get back to your usual structure once you’re back.

    I agree with Michael. Alternate between a barbell and dumbbells, one flat and one incline. I would place a close grip further down my workout to hit more triceps.

    Somewhere that has some natural lighting if possible. As Meg says though, wherever you take them, just keep it consistent and in the same place and at the same time. You can get decent tripods from Amazon that hold phones and I would suggest filming your poses and then screenshot each one. Far easier than trying to set up a timer and running into place!

    DEADLIFTS!! Love this Day. A successful Lower Load session featuring the Snatch Grip ‘Touch and Go’ Deadlift. Nice little increase in Load, so very happy. There’s just something about this movement that feels So GOOD!

    TBJPNutrition Halcyon down the hatch.. and now it’s time to unfry my CNS 🙂

    Seated hamstring curl – 1 set of 10-12
    Snatch grip deadlift – 1 set of 10-12, increase the weight and get 6-8 reps – TOUCH AND GO REPS
    Conventional Dead into a shrug– 1 set of 15-20, each reps moves into a shrug – ONE FLUID MOVEMENT
    Sissy squat – 1 r/p set
    Single leg Leg press – 1 set of 20
    45 degree hyper – 1 set of 10-12 reps – hold at peak contraction for 2 secs with a controlled eccentric
    Abductor – 1 r/p set
    Back supported leg raises – 2 body weight sets of 15
    STRETCH
    Seated calf raise – 3 sets of 10-12.

    I would suggest having longer than just one extra rest day. Sounds like your body needs some rest. My advice would be to take several days completely off the gym. Focus on recovery, hydration, quality foods and minimal stress during this time and take some gentle walks to keep mildly active.

    You’re correct in that you will digest everything eventually and that calories will be equal, but the reason for wanting to take in faster digesting carbs post workout is to maximise muscle recovery and growth. Pre bed, for example you will want slower digesting foods.

    Rest day for me.. Bit of chilling, spending time with the fam, catching up on jobs and had a little walk and a wander around Lidl. Anyone else get as excited as me in that place!? Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you find random items in the middle of an aisle with no logic to where it’s placed. Always new things popping up.. and don’t get me started on the weekly centre aisle specials! Went in for some avocados today and came out with an Air Fryer 🙂

    Let’s not over complicate things. Have your pre workout meal of Oats and Whey around 60-90 mins before you leave. Begin sipping your intra workout drink when you’re about 15 mins away from your gym (Ideally EAAs, Peptopro or MPS MAX mixed with a carb source that digests well for you – Don’t waste your money on BCAAs) and finish this by the time you’ve finished training. Then travel home and have your post workout meal once you’ve relaxed a little and feel ready to eat. (Around 60-90 mins after you’ve finished training is fine).

    Hi Adam.. Apologies, I didn’t make that clear. I add a very small amount of unsweetened almond milk.

    Now, Cheerios takes me back to my childhood. Used to be a classic grab a handful from the box as a snack. Wheetos as well, mmmm.

    Sam – I don’t get overly excited about cereals to be honest… Granola, however, now we’re talking! (Annoyingly calorie dense though!)

    The one that suits your goals, daily output, training times, digestion, sleep. It’s tough to give an exact ratio as we’re all different.
    Hit your protein target first and then distribute your remaining calories between carbs and fats and place them in your diet where they work for you best. For example, some people feel their digestion and mood is better on higher carb diets and some on higher fats, some feel lethargic if they train after a carb meal and some feel energised, so it’s a case of experimenting and seeing what suits you best personally.
