deadlifting every session isn’t necessary or smart
are you training EOD?
Have u looked on the full body videos?
there needs to be variation between sessions….rep ranges need to alter
if you are heavy pulling on day 1, then day 2 would be better served as more metabolic ranges as you wont be fully recoveringdo you see what I mean?

dairy will slow down the absorption of the carbs – so if you are eating pwo to shuttle in nutrients fast, then dairy negates this
i think its a pretty old school intervention…milk used to be used as a pwo in sports etc, but when they actually studied the comparison of milk to other carb/pro sources, it was seen as inferior

@Daz – good question
firstly…the thought of being 38 when im not even 30 yet is a little scary haha … so I have goals, but I tend to not put a time line on them anymore as ive learnt that things just aren’t that simple and then it always feels ‘disappointing’ if they aren’t achieved by the imaginary deadline!
GOALS: THINGS I CAN (KIND OF) CONTROL
PhD – looking to start this 2019
550 kg raw total in powerlifting – TBC
IFBB Pro card – 3 chances this year… maybe 2018…if not 2019…if not 2020
Get to the Olympia stage (totally fine with just standing at the back and waving at my mum…I don’t need a call out haha)

I don’t think there is enough work per muscle group here
deads can be added – as in my opinion they are a more whole body exercise – ie tie in many muscles indirectly – could start the session with 3 sets of deads?

haha funny actually as I do usually do a Kevin Levrone (minus the genetic freak bit)
usually I actually stay at stage weight throughout off season…which is the reason for ZERO progress and no 1st places….I will usually add in anavar spend the first 6 ish weeks pushing up then aim for condition for 7/8 weeks
this time….I gained just shy of 40lbs…time will tell how much muscle I have gained
in general the rule of about 15% works well in my opinion …so yes this is relative to body weight
140 stage – top weight of 160 – this to me is perfect
230 stage – top weight of 265
etc
BUUUUUUUT LOTS OF VARIABLES HERE
I think this rule applies to those that have pretty much got the size they want and are just hunting for small improvementseveryone in my experience needs that one BIG PUSH UP – for example, this for me has been my big push, after this I wont need much more mass at all, so I can stay lean without the real need for a huge surplus….Jordan has pushed way up lots of times and these are the periods htat he has grown so so much…same with Luke…pushes up heavy heavy each year and he has more tissue imaginable.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS….
if on stage you problem is SIZE – then push up more – YOU NEED MUSCLE
if on stage you weren’t even in condition – then stay closer to the stage weight (as that should have been 10lbs lighter anyway haha ), if you push too much you wont get in shape….againTIM FRAME….
if you have a deadline then this will dictate the amount and speed too…for example I have/had a year between shows pretty much…so lots of time and time to push up up and then time to make sure I can hit conditionif I had half the time the definitely don’t oush up as much as you wont have the time to solidify that new mass, and then will likely have to rush a prep…so if its a short time frame then stay closer to stage weight/look

usually my preps are very short – like 7/8 weeks coz I stay way too lean in offseason – this year as you probably no ive pushed up – so im fat lol so I started prep a few weeks ago…but in honesty to me every day is prep….im on plan all year…so there isn’t a drop the hammer stage…its just tick up tick down
