through observation and logic….if you diet you lose new tissue first…so if you only hit a number for a day then go straight to a deficit why would that new tissue stay?trainedbyjp@hotmail.co.uk |

SESSION….was perfect
did something a bit different today and I think it really worked
we rotated 4 back exercises…first set 12 reps, 2ndd set 15 reps, 3rd set I did an MR (Dr Scott Stevenson – Fortitude)Dual HS lat row – 1 set of 12 – ONLY 1 SET ON THIS AS IT HAS A WEIRD STRENGTH CURVE …used another machine row for the subsequent sets
Bent over Smith row
Lat pulldown
Single arm DB rowRear delts superset with shrug – 3 sets
hamstring curl – 4 point RP, 20 on the first
45 degree hyper – 4 point RP, 20 on the first
abductor – 4 point RP, 20 on the firstabs – 2 sets, 1 quad drop set
will be sending my video over to Stefan tomorrow….and await instruction π

HAPPY BIRTHDAY – absolutely enjoy it…I have missed Christmases etc before and in hind sight that’s dumb if youre not in comp prep as such
just go with the flow…don’t set fixed weight targets.
the compound does the same job..i only haven’t used it in a surplus as I come off for large chunks and I competed frequently…so there was never a time to use it whilst not in prep π
UPDATE
we have a friend staying – so I haven’t done my video for Stefan today as I don’t want to lol…so ill do that tomorrow morning…see what he thinks π
training yesterday was brutal!gym again today then chill tomorrow…after last weekends adventures I’m well and truly up for a NO ALARM sunday haha…then ill hang out with mumma Ingman sunday day time as its meant to be sunny π

I really like the idea of using this phase to get to know your body – maybe valuable at a later stage
BUT….
have you gained significant strength?
how many weeks have you sat at this top weight?
what did you start at? and what are you now?
12 weeks is also a pretty long ‘mini’ cut…might be worth sitting heavy a little bit if you can to solidify the weight? this I what I like to do with clients…as too many people hit a target then rush it off…how will the new tissue stick around?trainedbyjp@hotmail.co.uk |

youre allowed to walk…so why not enter an event for a ‘vision’ / eye related charity?
then you can train for it and ensure you stick to your diet.. π

I have found emotion and training does not mix….so youre 2×4 range will stand you in good sted haha
I’m pleased you understand my point….most people don’t, which I frustrating – I’m pleased you found it in you to endure the weight gain as reap the rewards π
there is definitely no such thing as a ‘lean – bulk’ …I think this was a fad phase that got pushed around for a while…sure you don’t have to get horrifically out of shape, but you do have to get a bit fat!
I think you have hit the nail on the head there
for example…Jordan..he now doesn’t and wont push up to a sloppy weight as the benefits would not outweigh the detrimentswhen lighter/smaller/newer to the sport – I do think a more extreme push up is needed
you have proved its worth it in the past….so join me on the chunky side and get the tissue on π
for this phase – I don’t feel I need to up anavar…ive never used it in a surplus before, so food alone is doing the job π
in prep it will likely creep up….im hoping to a max of 17.5 per day, as last prep I maxed out at 20…I like to always use less if I can – but up to Stefan and how the prep goes I guess πtrainedbyjp@hotmail.co.uk |

fly – I prefer to end with it because….
a) you tie in chest to other upper movements

firstly – LUCKY man, Brazilians are beautiful! I wish I had even a little bit of Brazilian in my genetic code….but I’m just founded in deepest darkest Essex haha – which I also love π
STRENGTH
quads are my strong point – so this is the only area where I can keep up with Jordan – leg press is all quad, and doesn’t include any limiting factors like lower back like a squat variation would, so yes this is the reason that I and other women can keep up with the guys on this exercise.women also have better strength endurance – so in the 10-15 rep range I am strong for reps…where as men are better that the lower ranges, say 4-6….I bet when you go for the 10 rep sets, she is on your tail but if you loaded the strength discrepancy will widen
PREP
I will give you the honest answer…
I’m not coping that well…I really hate being this ‘fat’…I cant look in a mirror, I stay covered up, I don’t want to wear nice clothes and I wont have my arms or anything on show…I feel very self conscious and uglyI have irrational fear that I will not get back into condition and I find it hard to reason the need to be this out of shape
Of course, I do know this is irrational and I do understand the benefits….in others I can be logical and fully encourage the process..but in myself I do find it very hard
if this was me i would be 140lb, much much weaker and ready to bring ZERO improvements to the stage again…so whats the point in that?
My goal is to be an IFBB Pro…i do not do quitting, so i just have to accept that I dont like myself or feel particularly happy for now….short term sacrifice for (hopefully) the accomplishment of a true passion and goal ….
