we naturally output about 25mcgs t3…so when in a prolonged kcal deficit, this output reduced some what…so it can be advantageous to use 25mcgs t3 at the latter stages of prep….t4 converts to t3…but the body will convert it at the rate it needs it…so i don’t think its clear how much t3 you would be producing… so i wouldn’t personally use t4, i would use t3

ok so i have been actively dieting now for 4 ish weeksI’m not weighing myself very often
going by the mirror instead
i have slowly reduced kcals so now my diet is
TRAINING DAY – P = 340 , C = 230, F = 28
REST DAY – P = 280, C = 50, F – 50I think i have about 7lbs to lose to hit the same condition i was at the Leicster Qualifier last year (if anyone remembers that!)
so all is going well!training still good…beating PBs

hey ben, our ability to maximise protein is a little higher, so in order to gain and retain as much muscle as possible a higher intake is optimal…also protein and carbs act differently so I couldn’t match the macro 1 for 1….if calories from protein were a little lower potentially I could have more from fat or carb…but my macros across the board are reasonable/high so I don’t need more carbs

ck levels in trained people are always high, so that’s not a cause for concern 🙂

sorry we didn’t reply previous to the comp!its near impossible to tailor a peak week for someone we haven’t been working with as it is such a personal dependent variable…I myself don’t really manipulate anything, I drink a lot and water turn over is very good when I am legit peeled so I simply cut water the night before the show…no diuretics as all
others will have to use diuretics, or may increase water intake the week of the comp
in my experience with all, the less you change the better as it can be very unpredicatable
if someone is SHREDDED then getting dry isn’t hard 🙂

soo its be HECTIC…we have been moving house etc etc and as I’m the designated driver and delivery lady I been flat out so not updated!!
so I’m aiming to get a little leaner for the next few weeks
diet changes last week – reduce calories on both days but around 250kcal…a little from fats and a little from carbs
from today have reduced again so am now onTRAINING DAY
m1 – 40p, 12f
pre gym – 40p, 30c
intra – 60p, 75c
pwo – 40p, 140c
meal – 40p, 50c
meal – 40p, 12f
pre bed – 40p, 12f
in the night – 40pREST DAY
m1 – 40p, 18f
m2 – 40p, 30c
m3 – 40p, 30c
m4 – 40p, 30c
m5 – 40p, 22f
pre bed – 40p. 23f
in the night 40pNO CARDIO

hey…I don’t use a formula at all really…I ask for their daily intake and adjust as I see fit staying close to there caloric needs then adjust from there

hey…single ply for the same reason as now wraps…they just give too much support…with the single ply they serve just for safety and joint support (as well as a little strength increase I suppose!) the more tension you have on the sleeve the more weight you can move and itll shift the force from the muscle to the equipment, just like a false weight with the wraps 🙂

landed back home this morning at 7.30am…and boy am I sleeeeepy! haha
Teelily88 …this is for recovery mostly…after training there is typically an 8 hour window when your body is very receptive…so its wise to use carbs in this period as they will be optimally utilised…aiding recovery, glycogen stores and therefore performance improvement
I have carbs on both rest and training day…but they are higher on training days

don’t turn to liquid carbs…this will always lead to unnecessary fat gain…stick with the foods you know you tolerate well…if weight is creeping too fast just pull back a little 🙂
