FIRST GYM SESSION BACK TODAY….that was a shock! haha
body is feeling a little odd at the moment, I think its a combination of delayed jet lag…etc etc…so was good to go in today and do my first squat session….I have roughly structured my training into blocks which will lead me into my next meet….awaiting my official invite but I have been invited to compete at THE BOSS OF BOSSES 3 competition in California on 20th august….so 21 weeks to go…and I WANT to hit a 530 total…lots of work to be donetodays session looked like this
squats – 3 x 12
pause squats 3 x 10
leg press
BB SLDL
glute bridge
lying ham curl
bb bicep 6×4 set
single arm bicep 6×4 set
absI haven’t done any higher rep work in a LONNNGGGG time so the 12 reppers were a massive shock to the system haha…weight felt nice and light but legs fatigued very quickly…I will spend this 6 week block working in the 10-12 rep range, so conditioning will come back fast 🙂

GOOD MORNING….
so time for me to start a thread leading through to my next missionI competed in the ProRaw powerlifting competition at the Arnolds Melbourn e few days agao, Friday 18th March…I placed 3rd which was the best results I could have got….beaten by 2 international girls who where outstanding!
My personal total of 502.5kgs at 72.5kg bodyweight should have been higher…I left the uk with a 515kg gym total…BUT as we know gym/comps are VERY different and we are still working on the specifics of truly peaking strength to ensure meet day is THE day
I will go back again next and I promise ton have put another 40kg at least on my total…
SO THE PLAN NOW…
BPU powerlifting meet later this year on 3rd September – AIM to maintain my 502.5kg total, BUT in sleeves and at 67.5kg body weight
UKBFF BRITISH CHAMPS – 9th October – AIM to place top 3i am currently deloading this week post comp…so will start training again with my log book and target numbers on Saturday 26th..i have a 6 week block planned out in terms of targets..i am training more like a powerlifting from now, keeping to squats, deads and bench all year round which is something i have never done before….if i really want to be the best lifter i can be then i have to maintain these….first 6 week block of training will consist of 3 sets of 10-12 reps on all the lifts, so load will be lighter but the sets will be to real failure
i will log these sessions as i go 🙂
please feel free to ask any questions etc!! lets see what happens 🙂

quantity is a totally person dependent question, that is determined with a tailored diet…as a general rule. if you are looking to grow add more carbs intra workout….I cooked the ground rice in water on the hob, just like you would with oats or for babay rice just boil the kettle and pour in the water 🙂 I like the taste of both…you can stir in whey to give it a little more flavour after you have cooked it

again sorry im not JP haha….with imbalances I will always train the stronger side first and force the weaker side to catch up even if its force repping to match…concentrate on compound dual leg exercises and focus on recruitment…it WILL catch up 🙂

hey matt…yes the carbs intra most certainly do go towards the daily intake…usually a very big percentage of! if you are training with progressive overload you need intra workout nutrition IMO

so do all width exercises in one session….lat pull, chins etc and then all thickness in another…bb row, low row etc 🙂 then back is hit twice per week
