    Sat 7th sept check in.
Fasted weight this morning 256lbs which we are very happy with. Weight has gone up and condition still relatively tight. Goal was 255-260 but looking at condition now we have shifted that to 270.
Only changes made last week were an extra 2iu Gh pre workout so now on total of 6iu per day.

Looking like you’re growing well Darren. Hope you and Bex are both well – sending love to Dubai!![/quote]
Thanks meg, we are really good thanks. You guys always welcome to come visit #dubaitrainingcamp ????

Hey mate, just watched your back session with James and Louis, my question is, how does this type of training compare to what you’re currently doing, such as training twice a day etc with higher volume? Do you think you’d ever switch to this approach?

Myself & J have actually just gone back to training the way we did last off season which is 1 major body part a day and sometimes a minor. Will consist of 8-10 exercises with 4 heavy working sets to fail of 7-10 reps generally on each. (See leg day above for an example)
Find in off season we want to just get strong.

What’s your current training style like?

Today was my first session of a new split which is a Jordan split push/pull/legs style which I am going to try for next month or so as I enjoyed my sessions last week with James, Ryan & joe Ballinger and I feel this method will help me bring on my back

Back in Dubai and after training with @jhollingshead89gmail-com & @ryanpetford and some interesting discussions I’m going to give their style of training a push for the next few weeks. I will keep you all updated on how I find it

    right

so today was a little different

    we hit legs.

Louis has been a little under the weather and I’m honestly a little beat up on the lower half!

so we had what was essentially a reserved session.. held back from absolute failure nut still pished close too

opted to stay away from free weight work

    movements today went a follows

    kneeling curls

    2 sets of 10-12

    lying curls

    2 sets of 15-20

    V squat

    2 sets of 12-15

    single press

    2 sets of 15-20

    extension

1 set of rest pause but staying shy of failure by 2 reps per round

    abductor

    2 sets of 10

    adductor
    2 sets of 12-15

    seated calf raise

    3 sets of 20

hopefully tomorrow we both feel 100%.. all you can do is rest up
    .drink .. eat and chill

    push tomorrow ????

Sorry for lack of update this week, still on the road- no food missed and some big sessions! Finished off the week today with a massive leg session with @ryanpetford down in primitive.
Weight has dropped a few lbs since being here now at 244lbs but a few days back in Dubai and I’ll get it back up.
Going to take the next 2 days to rest as I’m feeling very fatigued.

My month in Greece is finally coming to an end, my goal when I came here was to try and maintain at around 240lbs… food had to go up after week 1 here as I dropped to 236… iv gone to 242 and this morning I woke at 240lbs bang on after 4 days celebrating my 3 year anniversary with my wife in the hotel we got married in. All inclusive so I guesstimated my food & accounted for a few off plan meals.. if anything I probably under ate a tad. We still trained and did cardio.
In my mind tomorrow when I land back in Dubai prep starts for Pittsburgh & New York next year, no distractions just work. We are aiming to push to 260lbs in this condition.

Whats the thought process with the insulin at the first meal?

To. E honest it’s more about splitting it up- meal 1 is always a high carb meal for me so use it then and then pre workout.
Not a fan of pre & post because usually later on in the evening I feel hypo
