Check out my InstaStory @deanstm where I’m documenting today in full 🙂

Over 100 people messaged me in response to a poll I done on vlogging this off season so today is a little taster 🙂

    Back/Biceps today went very well.

Main cue we’re focusing on is scapular retraction before initiating any row or pulldown movement.

Apart from my legs, my back has made huge improvements in the past year in terms of width but still lacking in density so hopefully hitting it twice every 5 days will pay off again 🙂

    Its difficult to say.

Some argue that once exogenous hormones are present, it will interfere with the HPTA feedback preventing hCG from being effective.
Intra testicular volume doesn’t necessarily correlate to increased fertility either so this is not an accurate measure.

Normally 500iu 2x per week is the new protocol advised when running TRT to aid testicular function.

However, this is quite a “grey” area…..running hCG during cycle is not a guarantee you maintain fertility.
This is going to be mainly genetic due to HPTA burnout from continuous AAS use.

No Aaron, however the guidleines for O type blood group do match what I eat generally.

And FWIW, I knew I was type O before the genetic testing from my birth cert……the genetic results told me I was Type O without providing any information…..

You can get 23andme for 50 dollars this month on amazon. You only need the raw data so don’t opt for health report.

Then use raw data and plug it into

    Gene Genie
    Promethease
    Strategene

Each of the above will have a fee but the data analysis is all done for you.

Otherwise have fun on SNPedia looking up genes and SNPs.

However, like I said the v5 chip 23andme use now has some very important SNPs and genes missing…..I wrote about this on my Facebook page Dr Dean St Mart PhD if you want to understand more…..

For one thing, I know my main fibre types and level of recovery.

This is a small snippet of my personal research document……..

    Power.
    NOS3 – Nitric Oxide Synthase 3.
Endothelial NOS is a nitric oxide synthase that generates NO in blood vessels and is involved with regulating vascular tone by inhibiting smooth muscle contraction and platelet aggregation.
    rs2070744 – C/T
786 T/C polymorphism of the NOS3 gene seems to be associated with elite performance in power-oriented athletic events (throwing, jumping, sprinting), with the T allele exerting a beneficial effect.

    Hypertrophy Response.
    LEPR – Leptin receptor(LEPR) gene
Protein encoded by this gene belongs to the gp130 family of cytokine receptors that are known to stimulate gene transcription via activation of cytosolic STAT proteins. This protein is a receptor for leptin (an adipocyte-specific hormone that regulates body weight).
    rs1137100 – A/G.
Adults with the G allele gained greater arm muscle volume and subcutaneous fat volume.

    Injury Risk – Increased.
    GDF5 – Growth Differentiation Factor 5 gene
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily.
    rs143383 – A/A
The A allele appears to make less GDF5 protein, which eventually renders an individual somewhat more susceptible to osteoarthritis and chronic ATP and acute tendon rupture.

COL1A1 – gene provides instructions for making a component of type I collagen.
Type I collagen is the most abundant form of collagen in the human body.
    rs1800012 – A/C
A/C associated with lower bone mineral density and osteoarthritis.

COL5A1 – gene provides instructions for making a component of type V collagen.
COL5A1 gene encodes the pro-α1 chain of type V collagen, the rate-limiting component of the of type V collagen trimer assembly. Collagens form a family of proteins that strengthen and support many tissues in the body, including skin, ligaments, bones, tendons, muscles, and the space between cells and tissues called the extracellular matrix.
    rs12722 – C/T
    Increased risk of tendon injuries.

I discuss this type of testing often on my Instagram.

Still building a bigger picture but other programs like Promethease have given me scary info which line’s up with family history……4x times more likely to have psoriasis (runs maternally), 3x rick of type 2 diabetes (runs paternally)….it even was able to tell me I was Type 0 Blood type from my genetics……

Promethease was able to tell me we are 5x at risk of depressions and metabolise antidepressants 7x faster than normal……and this history lines up maternally……

This sort of information is scrary but life changing and you can imagine what I have been able to do since learning all of this !!!!

I’ve had a few different tests done.

Nothing is more powerful than 23andme and then using the raw data to do your own analysis.

However, the new v5 chip they use for SNPs is shit and has some critical data missing.

But I have learned quite a lot in the last year from delving deep into my own data which I attribute in part to how I gained so much tissue last year and keep health markers in check,
