    Gym’s going really well – Squats are now at 125kg, starting to love the Hack Squat – I am working around the injury and to be honest, I am pretty happy again.

    Looking to lose some bodyfat and abit of weight, so going to aim for 78kg and re-assess.

    Hi Damian this would be specific to you and your needs. Personally I eat a meal pre workout chicken, rice and pineapple so I have my fuel so to speak from whole food sources. Eaas intra workout is to support my training performance, recovery and electrolytes balance

    Hey Marc – Do you find EAAs useful intra or would CoR and a protein shake be fine pre workout 1 hour before, therefore not needing EAAs.

    I 2nd this – Use TBJP Creatine Mono – works grand and tastes really nice the only comparable one is the mainland chinese one I get when over there but otherwise this is top notch!

    Supplement companies love to overcomplicate creatine and sell all kinds of shite tbh – 5% Nutrition has like 10 types or something…then you also get creatine saying 100 servings etc but only has 3g per serving lol but in terms of other creapure / HCL (from memory) no need to pay so much extra money.

    Fucking shite morning – Supposed 30 min journey to hosp for check up took 2 hours thanks a drink driver, got there and to be fair, the staff and nurses were lovely, however, the consultant was as posh as they come, they asked me the background – I was quite honest and said the first nurse at A&E when it happened was fab but when her shift ended another nurse took over and was fucking awful, didn’t care, didn’t answer any queries. Before listening to anything else, he said in 35 years, he has never heard a swear word in his office and I was the first and there was a lady present and gave me a telling off….so bloody woke honestly.

    Anyway, confirmed the finger can go back to norm in 4 weeks, I broke the top part of the middle finger, it will heal. Seen another nurse who was again fab, really helpful. The consultant rubbed me up the wrong way and I was about to blow up but thought, not worth it and got back to the diagnosis and what treatment needs.

    The TBJP vegan, CoR and clothing range is fab, life long customer now.

    It’s a rest day today and then arms soon!

    Training was really good yesterday, got up to 120kg squats, managed despite the finger to do 3 x 10 reps of standing military barbell but baby numbers 20, 30 and 35kg, but I did pause reps on both squats and presses.

    I also did pauses on hack squat and 45 degrees sled leg press, pretty happy.

    We are getting there.

    Session went well – introduced BB high bar back squats – 20, 40, 60, 80 for 5 reps with a pause for 2-3 seconds at the bottom then 100kg for 4 with no pause.

    No pain, tingle etc in the finger – feeling good – pure bodybuilding for other part of the workout.

    Bought a few TBJP Vegan Sachets from Black Fri – bloomin hell – choc pistachio is amazing and great macros, no clumping, spot on.

    yeh its my fave – i do 2 shakes a day and then solid foods and have done for years

    Doing better, wound has now fully closed, I can straighten the finger and move the tip portion, which I couldn’t do before.

    Currently doing upper left arm, legs next day, rest and repeat.

    No compounds allowed currently and seeing clinic next Tues to see what to do next.

    Working hard to get back to it!

    Agree here I’d just go in & see what you can do, there is always something, you could even for lateral raises cuff from the elbow IF you don’t feel it in your hand.. same for front raises, there’s quite a few ways to adapt!

    Thanks Kerry, it ain’t fun, life lesson learned! I am currently just doing bodybuilding routine and then once signed off will go into powerlifting. I really love strongman training but just doesn’t make sense as I am pretty having to look after myself with injuries, which has been tricky.

    Did left arm upper workout yesterday, machines & DBs, went fine, a little uncomfortable as you need to use the right arm to stablise, however, still a good session!
