    BW: Weight scales broken lol

Back to good form, decided to pack in strongman training, my finger is broken but the 2-3cm wound on the fingers has not stopped bleeding, which was on and off since Thursday evening, pain is a 2-3 out of 10 so all good.

    Considering powerlifting or bodybuilding.

Watched Zootopia 2 with Mrs, enjoyed it. We also did gym this morning, first time since injury:

    1) Leg extension 4 x 12

    2) Standing single leg curl 4 x 12

    3) Hip thrust machine – 3 x 12

    4) V-squat – 3 x 11

My husband’s pain is much more manageable today, although I’ll still need to be around as and when throughout the day to help him do things until he gets more strength and mobility in his arm. He’s also just got an appointment through to start the process to get an operation on his other shoulder, as both were damaged, so it looks like as soon as this one is healed, we’ll have to go through this all again.

Anyway; I got out to the gym this morning for a quick upper session, then back home to get on with my work and course study.

Positive wishes for your husband! Take it easy both of you.

    BW: 80.7kg

    – So atlas stone, 60kg, 4th rep, crushed my finger between stone and yoke height (increased it to comp height).

    – Broken finger, open wound, pain 24/7 and still bleeding in A&E for a 2nd time.

    – Felt sorry for myself last night, today i’v picked myself up and it’s time to rebuild.

Over 25+ of travel, 3 connecting flights and me and kerry have arrived in Alicante Spain ahead of us both competing at bigman weekend this Sunday. Lots of travel but no complaints as we both want to show up and bring our best to the stage this weekend to close of our competing seasons

Not holding much water at all from the travel so that’s a good thing and Patrick is happy and as always we take things day by day.

I trained chest and shoulders today, no reps to failure but getting the work done!

Haircut also done today after my gym session at titan fitness. Last meal going in and bed time for me

Well done on 5th place and hope it goes well in Spain!

    Bodyweight: 81.9kg

Training still going well, aching bit despite good sleeps, muscle rubs and 2 rest days a week.

Today’s a rest as in the office and Xmas party – mental health fucking awful – cried randomly when I was cooking yesterday, not sure what caused it, but it’s part and parcel of BPD, I felt fine after an hour or so.

Training at the gym helped loads, today was the 2nd day of comp training – Axle deadlifts – 130kg – 12 reps and 13 reps AMRAP within 1 minute. Comp is 140kg for U90kg bodyweight, so lets crack on and smash it!

    Rest day.

Body was really sore this morning so took a proper rest day. Got some general stuff done around the house, walked the dogs and watched the rugby.

Nice chilled Sunday and ready for an early start tomorrow for some pressing.

    Morning Adam,

    How do you deal with:

    1) If you get aches each morning due to intensive workouts and pushing yourself but still taking rest days – how do you handle these day to day to ensure you produce your best workouts.

    2) Are there any specific supps you would recommend – currently taking creatine, beta Alaine and Protein Powder along with a whole foods diet.

    Thanks Adam!

Aches in the morning are expected. I ensure I get my rest, take my rest days when scheduled and never dig myself into such a deep hole that I can’t get out of it. When I’m feeling proper fucked I’ll deload as and when needed.

You can’t go wrong with the TBJP essential 5:
    Creatine
    Omega 3/6/9 fish oils
    Cure coming
    Vitamin D3&K2
    Magnesium[/quote]

    Thanks Adam!

    Hi guys

So here I am, hours away from stepping on stage at the Japan pro show. I am feeling very relaxed and happy with the physique I will be bringing to the stage today. A very nice balance between fullness and condition, I genuinely can’t wait to display what myself and Patrick have been working on the last few weeks. Very much tunnel vision and locked into visualisation and being on stage. Here we go!!!

Best of luck, you’ll smash it!

    Bodyweight: 80.4kg

Progressing well, 2 months til d day comp – very excited.

Took mindset to a whole new place thanks to the coach, I get sometimes so stressed with life but once I am in the gym, head down, headphones and really crack on.

Did a video on mental health for the gym on Monday that was cool and enjoyed it – men’s mental health is important – the gym stabilises pretty much everything for me.

Today is upper, rest tomorrow then legs on Sunday.

Food is going great, super routine and it’s nearing Xmas so very happy.

    Morning guys

Very long day to Japan, but me and Kerry arrived late last night. Bodyweight is pretty much the same as when I left the uk, with only holding a little water from the flight.

Check in with Patrick this morning, he wanted a short walk this morning to get the body moving ( I do enjoy this starting my day) then to follow higher calories food set up from my plan and also to train quads and glutes today.

Me and kerry have just done a good shop. It’s so different out here all the food seems to come in very small packets compared to what you can buy in the uk.

Despite a long day of travelling i am feeling ok and ready for the week ahead!

    Hey Marc,

Used to live in Japan, theres tonnes to see if you & Kerry have not been there before: Akihabara (Geeky tech stuff), Shibuya (Fashion + Famous crosswalk), Tokyo Tower and lastly Ginza for abit of posh shopping / gifts!

On the bodybuilding side of things – Enjoy it and have a great time! If you do have a day free post show – try to get the train to Kyoto (amazing and chilled out).

    81.2kg

Fab session yesterday, I spoke with my coach about my arm really improving, physio ideas etc.

I focused only on – conv DL, barbell back squat and single leg hamstring curl, I did 195kg conv DL – 2.4x bodyweight, 105kg bb back squat, I did slightly lower at 25kg on single leg hamstring curl. Lots of protein throughout the day. My wife & I then seen ‘The Running Man’ it was brilliant!

Today I am volunteering at my gym to discuss mental health, appreciate Stackhouse Gym, Rayleigh for giving this opportunity. Been working since 5 this morning, it will be a longish day but should be a good week.

I think for me, as Xmas comes so do the invites for get togethers in work, several Xmas parties etc, I just need to self-discipline not to touch alcohol, which is to be honest is hard but I feel I am at a place and age now I can go ‘na, I am fine’ and also my focus is my health…though it’s Xmas so I will be enjoying some well earned food.

May well be a case of overthinking! I just thought it was odd sleeping patterns changed! Thank you both as always.
