    Hey buddy their are obviously many variables that apply to calculating how much food you need. I’m of very similar height but 144kg on waking so an extra 42 kilo nearly 90lbs to carry around and feed.
    Your calories are low but I don’t know you’re experience with training, diet or PED’s so you could be about right or way out to where you should be.
    I definitely feel as though I digest food better and my appetite is higher with lower fats which for me is massive when i’m trying to eat more.
    With your calories being less using fat’s to curb appetite is justified imo.
    It is also true however that if your of a certain heritage you will genetically process and have better body composition on carbs or fats. The late Charle’s Poliquin was huge on this, you tube him for some great knowledge.

    Good push session today – shoulder dominant
    Had to train on my own at my gym but had a good session! I do miss the push and comradery we have at ultra that’s for sure!
    Workout was –
    Standing cuffed lateral
    Shoulder press machine
    Flat smith machine
    Dip machine
    Pec dec
    Single arm rope
    Still keeping volume lower why we allow cycle to fully kick.
    All sets 1 work 1 back off

    Spoke to Jordan in check in and we agreed to put carbs into rest day for a couple of reasons.
    I feel I’m struggling to process and digest all the fats so appetite on rest days has been down and at the end of the day I have a very large frame to feed and the carbs will most certainly be utilised.
    I feel some people just have a better efficiency to break down either carbs or fats and myself leans towards carbs.

    Is this the leanest you’ve been at that weight whilst pushing weight up?
    If so I take it that’s because your being more meticulous with diet?
    I would of done the muscle camp if I wasn’t competing mate, will keep an eye out for future ones, I’m sure Dennis will be up for it too

    Hey Jay congratulations on your competition buddy, awesome result man.
    Your bang on, my heaviest and cleanest off season so far just because I’m literally treating it like a prep.
    I have many driving factors but being in the site and having Jordan and Corinne guide me is definitely a huge one in keeping me dead on track.

    Hey man I think you got a real good amount of tissue for just one small cycle well done.
    So what was test measured at mid or post cycle? Having read your bloods Pre cycle I imagine you would of had them tested again for comparison?
    What are you cruising at 125mg? This mite have you at high normal or just above.
    Short answer to your question, we could all delay competing in the pursuit of more muscle but I think you have a great starting point for a first contest and would go for it next year after during first blast!
    I would however have 6-8 weeks in surplus to bring weight up clean then reduce and hit 8-10 weeks diet. If you do it right and keep tight in cruise you can do both parts in prep ????????

    My test levels mid cycle was 42nmol.
    I’m about to check my bloods tomorrow. I live in Bulgaria and here is very cheap and fast.
    I was thinking to cruise at 175 – 200mg, do you think that it’s too high?
    This is a very good idea I didn’t thought of being in a surplus for the first 6-8 weeks of the cycle.
    So the show is 14 April I might start my cycle late December.
    I am keeping everything tight! Counting my macros and doing my cardio every day.

    I suggested 125mg cruise because 250mg was first cycle.
    Dropping to 200 is so small a drop it’s hardly a cruise right?

    Rear is where I hold 70% of my bf so it’s basically hiding any shape and definition I have. I know I’m thicker and will have a stronger back when we shed the excess. For now we keep chipping ⛏????????

    Check in morning with the boss’s, I’m saying boss’s from now on because I know I have 2 sets of eyes looking over me which I am incredibly thankful for.
    Weight has been 317 most of this week but yesterday was a rest day so lower food and tbh I felt completely burnt so not sure if my body was working overdrive to try and pull me out of the whole.
    Woke 315 and took pictures, see what you think ????????

    I think it takes so much mental energy too which a lot of the time we forget uses up our fuel!

    100% Corinne, should have probably addressed my no carb rest day diet a little differently for the Saturday too being so active and having to use my brain for a change ????
    Definitely takes a lot out of you on the mental and physical side, another live and learn moment ????

    Change one thing at a time buddy. Process of elimination but what Ryan and Claire said is spot on. Defo remove the husk post training and alter post carb source and hit macros, normally cream of rice sits well with most, it mite be your whey?

    How old are you?
    What’s your training comp history?
    How many cycles have you done?
    This is the broadest question with the most inadequate input, fortunately none of us are mindless enough to just say ‘yeh go for it’.
    Sorry if this comes across harsh but there are so many factors that would influence an answer here, and probably why people are yet to drop a comment.
