Have you thought about changing your meal plan and time a meal closer to training that’s easy to digest like the sources Clare mentioned.
Why the 3 hour gap?
Could you not time meal and have a shake an hour before from whey and cream of rice or oats?

Go with your chicken over cheap whey. Whole eggs are great too.

MemberApril 2, 2021 at 9:13 pm in reply to: Private: Giant’s Quest for 2021 Olympia QualificationFinally got my ass back in the gym today.
Still not 100% but much better and had a decent session.
Was not a session pushing the log book, just moving some blood around and feeling some weight.
I’ll be back full force Monday ?? -
The end goal is always to get a job that pays well that allows us to pursue bodybuilding without issue but we will have to do a few jobs that aren’t perfect before we get there.
As Meg said I’m sure making sure the family is financially stable is the main factor but I’d be pursuing other options whilst your in a secure job.
Start planning your next move and you will know when the time is right without having to ask.
Good luck.

I think this may end up being the whole week off start back Monday which sucks but in the grand scheme of things I’d rather this happen now 15 weeks out and not 5 weeks out ??

I defintely got bigger and stronger but as Ryan said the key here is becoming better at other aspects that coincide with a good cycle. Food, training, rest and hydration amongst other things and just being ultimately consistent ??

MemberMarch 30, 2021 at 1:38 pm in reply to: Private: Giant’s Quest for 2021 Olympia QualificationWoke up feeling worse today so I’ve taken the day off training. Tomorrow’s a rest day so that means 2 days rest to recover from this and I think I’ll be back in Thursday ??

I’d just have my normal pre workout blended which is oats or cream of rice, banana and whey. Digests really quick being in liquid form.
As others have said you can load carbs in the final meal of the night before also. -

MemberMarch 29, 2021 at 7:40 pm in reply to: Private: Giant’s Quest for 2021 Olympia QualificationEvening guys, picked up a bug off my son over the weekend and woke with a sore throat and not feeling 100%
Dilemma really as last week was the recovery week so didn’t fancy more time off full training tbh
Two choices – rest and back in Thursday fully recovered or train knowing that I felt good enough to perform but insure of how the session would make me feel after.
I decided to train and progressed all lifts so that box was ticked and I’ll try to have a good night sleep and reassess for pull tomorrow ??
