If this is the case why are you training in just one predominant rep range? My idea of maximizing progress would include at least one more rep range and maybe various intensifier sets rest pause, cluster etc
Could be way off here and RPE means something totally different haha
Agree with the boys on execution bud volume. Many people recruit a lot of Delts in push…..are delts strong?Sorry if this is a dumb question but I’m not familiar with the meaning of RPE – reps per exercise? Sorry for not being more clear. With RPE 10 I mean rate of perceived exertion 10. Basically a stupid way of saying going to failure. So I push these working sets absolutely as hard as I possibly can. Delts are getting stronger. The only movements I’m not getting stronger in is the more chest specific work where I really focus on the chest doing the work, such as incline bench, incline dumbell press, machine press, flies.

Haha ok more over complicated abbreviations, I love this sport ? simple definitely works for me, maybe I’m just getting old hahaAre you shoulders a strong body part visually? Do you think they take over some chest movements and set up/execution could be better?

MemberMarch 28, 2021 at 3:13 pm in reply to: Private: Giant’s Quest for 2021 Olympia QualificationHey guys rest day weekend nearly complete ??
Following this week where I performed at half volume I’ll be honest, I still feel tired but unsure whether it’s just a feeling of more mental fatigue. With the current situation I think all of us have perhaps felt a little errrr and I’m going to see how tomorrow goes back in at full volume and load then assess from there.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend ?? -

As the program – when tackling a program rest and recovery should not be overlooked
I’m off the back of comp prep and getting strong quick so sessions are progressing a lot from week to week
The split as it stands is
Monday shoulders triceps
Tuesday back hams
Wednesday off
Thursday chest biceps
Friday legs assault
Weekend off
This routine just seems the perfect balance of output vs recovery and progress right now
Feeling smashed at the weekends but ensuring recovery is optimised by hitting meal times, resting and doing some mild activity for digestion ??
Hope everyone’s having a great weekendHey Jamie if I wanted to bring up my arms would you add and arm day as a 5th day to your split? Thanks for the help
Of course sir lol I’m 6’2 265
Hey buddy tbh your physique is quite balanced. Defintely more hams and potentially more arms whilst keep growing the rest at a steady pace. Back thickness is very good ??What’s your training split look like right now and volume for ham and arm isolation.
You could add a 5th session or look to remodel your current split/frequency based on what I see ??

I applaud your decision to step things back bud as I know it could not have been an easy one.
Although this is something you have perhaps wanted to do for a long time I know the personal pressure you place on yourself to look and perform a certain way along with all the stress of the site and business is too much for many to comprehend.
Well done man, just another example of why you and Corinne have got so far in life ??
I’m very excited to follow this and already envious of your much lower injection frequency ?

What would you guys like to see more of in my log?
I’m conscious my weeks and days are very much the same and I find myself writing the same generic posts ??Maybe put something you learnt the previous day, or something that made you smile, or made you feel grateful. Just a thought :))

Well recently I helped a fellow competitor see his own value. I sent him lots of information I use with my own team of athletes in the aid of setting his own coaching team up. I learnt really that I very much enjoy helping others. Especially when it’s helping others see their own worth and value ?? -
2-3 seconds negative is about right. 4 seconds is overkill imo. I did BPak Mi40 some years ago now which is based around 4 seconds eccentric and concentric reps. It’s just too much.
Control of load and standerising form should always be the goal but just have a pace that feels controlled as simple as that sounds. You know when you are letting weights drop and using elastic tension/momentum. So like much of my advice, don’t overthink things, common sense is your best friend in life and BB ??

MemberMarch 26, 2021 at 9:42 am in reply to: Private: Giant’s Quest for 2021 Olympia QualificationProbably some thoughts about the current scene, who you think did make the most progress in 2020 & who you think will it be in 2021??
The surprise for everyone last year I think was Marc Hector and he tells me he’s having a longer off season and competing later this year which could prove very dangerous.
James got to the Olympia so he has to be considered one of the top guys in britain now.
I do think if Sas came back he could upset a lot of people because he’s just that good.
And for me, I promise to take vast improvements to the stage this year and look to qualify for the O 100%.
Also Samson’s recent check in looks much improved with new size and thickness from the rear ?? -
What I’m doing at the minute is basically doing just one working set per exercise as apose to 2 with no intensifier sets just straight sets only so I’m 50% volume with lowered intensity from the removal of the cluster/drops and rp’s.
I’m also choosing to attack my typical back off sets for my one set so the load is down as well.
A few ways there to reduce output/fatigue and manage recovery.
Next week I should be good to go.

I think you have plenty of other things you can do without wasting your money on a small amount of gh….
Increase cardio days/duration/intensity.
Add clen/thyroid/AnavarNo need for gh with you buddy
