Progress on all lifts. The leg press set is getting seriously nasty now tho and is actually quite sickening. Here’s the set:
500kg cybex squat press plus 2 green strength shop and one blue band for 9 reps – take bands off 6 reps – take 120kg off 8 reps ? -

I think it’s a great all round split buddy. Especially when strength is high. If you are not as strong then some would argue you may need more frequency to require so many days off but that being said I think there are pros for even someone just starting out training less.
Just kill the workouts man ??

Rohm primo is decently priced buddy but rohm is a very solid lab so I would assume it’s good to go ??

MemberMarch 4, 2021 at 1:13 pm in reply to: Why is it better to be lean first when trying to build muscle?I completely agree but then you get people like Dante Trudel saying that you need to grow into a weight, so if you are sloppy 280 lbs builder you progress in the gym then over time the 280 will eventually start to look better.
Eventually being the operative word here and there are obviously parameters to ‘how fat’ we are talking.
Levels of body fat most certainly impact our ability to build muscle tissue and how fast we can.
All things considered the leaner we are, the more effectively we can build muscle. That’s not to say we can’t build muscle with higher body fat but this certainly opens up the issue of even more fat storage and other health issues like higher blood glucose and blood pressure.
Imo it’s the most efficient and all round best way to get lean, grow muscle until bodyfat gets high again then repeat a series of body fat cuts and muscle building phases in a surplus.
Basic push and pull principal. And doing so ‘over time’ you will hit the same body weights but look better.

I like ace as like Kuba says you can drop out this close to show and have a near immediate fix to any issue ??
-
As hilly says depends on many factors
I’d say main ones to consider are: -composition progress,
-performance,
-recovery but this will be linked to training frequency/volume vs calorie input alsoIt’s not a straight forward yes or no
If you are progressing and recovery is fine and managing to hold performance then a refeed is only for mentality and not for physical benefit.
I guess it comes down to an individual need buddy.

Incline BB was 165kg for 6 which is plus 1 to last session and instead of my 145 back off I did a double which felt real nice at 175kg and then a back off of 150kg for 8.
Very happy with that and progressed all other exercises on the session ?????

MemberMarch 1, 2021 at 9:12 am in reply to: Private: Giant’s Quest for 2021 Olympia QualificationHappy first day of the month everyone.
I think I have incline BB today but could be dumbell ? tbh the Viking always knows what session were on and having 4 push rotations as we have 2 push sessions a week and 2 rotations kinda spins me out
Anyway if it is BB I’ve been thinking about how I’m going to take my 165kg for 5 to a 180kg 4 plates a side for reps and I’m going to try something a little different.
Something Jordan is big on and that’s forcing the cns to adapt by attempting a double or triple which I think I can do at 170-175kg.
I think once the reps begin to stall or you’re struggling to add a rep session to session or at the point where 1.25kg increases are being made a new tactic like this can push strength a little faster.
We shall see ??

Sorry to jump on the post but I think it may also be relevant. can doing bloods post workout cause a false low egfr reading? Should it be done on rest day?
Bloods should always be done imo after 2 days total rest from training ideally and fasted but not always possible. If on a training day do bloods as early as possible or before session.
I like the other assume this chap has a low egfr and needs to increase so high water, glutathione, vital support, love heart, krill oil.
We should be looking at blood thickness and blood pressure also and looking to act on those if they are out to improve overall kidney function (egfr) so a blood let may be needed and even blood pressure meds like telemisartan – most likely wrong spelling there.
