In summary progressive overload is still of primary importance but I feel one must accept the fact that there will be a trade off of some strength when chasing peak condition. In my eyes you just can’t pull off that last bit of fat to be truely peeled whilst maintaining peak strength.
What’s people’s thoughts on this?

As you asked, I’d agree. At this stage, the primary goal is chasing condition/fat loss, not strength in terms of PBs etc. Yes push hard but peak strength can and should slip down the priority list within reason.

Prep is hitting hard now but seeing the rewards daily makes it soooo worth it.
Full update on how things are going in the am ??

I would if it was an intense walk, not a stroll.
If the walk has a designated spot in your daily routine it can be considered cardio as a monitored variable.
If that walk is intense enough for you is entirely individual.
For me at 22 stone, walking is enough haha

It is not intense that I am sweating everywhere but I do get a sweat on.
I am not 22 stone of muscle yet lol
Haha just track it buddy and be consistent with diet. If things are going good then nothing needs to change but it’s certainly a variable that can be easily manipulated once it’s in ??

I think Clare is right. On the basis of the infrequency of these shifts I just wouldn’t weigh in. Don’t over complicate simple things

Performance in this weeks sessions has been slightly down so far in push and pull

I will still remain diligent with my log book with the aim of atleast equaling the numbers of the last rotation however I will not sacrifice feel of the exercises for simply moving weight

I feel at this stage of prep it’s just as important to feel the movements well to keep the muscles full as it is to move maximum poundage and beat the book

This is particularly important for me with my back training as that is by far my weakest body part. I believe that if I just keep chasing weights in the book and lose feel then the overall activation and resulting fullness/flatness will suffer.

Situation with prep 3 weeks out

We’ve made the call to really push for condition as I’m not happy with the rate I am coming in at from the back.

I still have a lot of fat/water on my back and glutes so pushing now makes perfect sense instead of risking chasing condition right into the show

I see a good 10-14 days push putting me in a perfect spot for the last week to then only need minor tweaks to perfect the final look

Hey Jamie !
When you were a fireman did you work shifts too ? Night etc ? If so how did it affect bodybuilding?
Thanks

Hey buddy yes I did shifts

Shifts are never optimal but I made it work man

Just a case of planning food and training to suit

Solid check in this am and push session
Clen went in yesterday and I’m enjoying the cramps already ?
Time to get that back peeled!!

Hey Jamie what time of day do you take your Clen and do you split the dose?
If I train after meal 1 would you still take Clen in the am pre training?
Why would training time be a consideration for not taking clen?
I take fasted and pre train split dose ??
Was just thinking like Clen plus pre workout maybe make the heart just beat out of the body lol. First time using it for prep so just wanted your opinion
Start low dose of 20 buddy and I’d increase it by 20 every 7 days to 80-100 max then take a week off and repeat

Not sure what your goal is right now but I’m assuming your in a gaining phase which means your use of tren and the dose for your stats is absurd
Recovery may take a while
If you’d have taken npp maybe quicker and not sure If that’s tren a or not?
Get a full hormone check from medicheck also

I would say minimum 230g per day upto 300 would be ample.
Start around 250 as hilly said and add calories through carbs which I prefer to add volume as you go over added fats.
I’d set fats low around training and higher in the meals furthest away such as am and before bed if you train mid day to late afternoon/early eve
Fats 50-100g per day
Carbs 300
Monitor weekly and build from there.
I’ve set things low as this is a starting point and I feel at the bodyfat percentage composition needs to be looked after also ??
