Woke up today at 304 another drop
I’ll check in with Jordan in the am and see what he thinks
My thinking is now we have 12 weeks as Cal isn’t in the sights with flight restrictions to US meaning it’s going to be pretty much impossible let’s feed up a little this weekend and push tren up a little more allowing us to keep recomping above 300

These were from yesterday too

Simply swap the food sources buddy

Nothing to worry about, if I had these back I’d be over the moon lol

End of a rest day
Nothing much done apart from
Landing my first shot on the bird table ??That’s my Olympia this year sorted haha
Other than that a sports massage.
Little niggle in my left shoulder picked up on arm day dipping which I’m hoping doesn’t effect push tomorrow
I’ll update ??

Thanks Jamie.
I totally agree though. I didn’t mean 50% balance, but more so 90-99% balance. Prep is second nature for most of us. Even the one percent keeps me on the straight and narrow haha; as I seem to over think myself into a rut sometimes.Very exited to see you on stage this year!

I totally agree with you here @theotherone55 on the thing of balance. I think some people get the totally wrong idea- being that anything outside of your bodybuilding endeavors draws you away from your ultimate/bodybuilding goals. But I think that even professionals, need something other than just bodybuilding in their life to keep them sane. I know for me personally, on prep, if I didn’t have work/my job, a couple of my other hobbies, I’d drive myself demented/insane and ruin my prep, if I didn’t have this so called “balance” I would over think everything I’m doing. The mental space away from bodybuilding, I think, is needed, before people burn themselves out.

Hey Kate thanks for commenting on the log, it’s nice to interact with people on here.
There’s another reply above you mite find interesting but I’ll add a little more here.
I was actually talking to Jordan about this yesterday but I find bodybuilding and prep so easy it’s literally second nature I don’t need anything else to distract or divert my attention. Call me sad but I just love what I do, all I think about is being better and being respected for achieving something in the sport when all the odds are stacked against me being so tall.
I guess I have a big point to price and that’s my driving force and until I’ve reached what I’d consider a decent level in the professional arena balance will just have to do one which I am very content with.
I get most people doing it like this will just turn insane and I appreciate its kinda crazy I find it so simple and easy.

A super interesting topic dude.
I think most competitors (and even regular long time gym rats) are pretty self aware of the weird mental image problems bodybuilding has given them. Like I don’t know how many times I’ve been asked, “yeah, but do you see yourself? And you want to get BIGGER?” And all of us wants that LOL. I think the smart thing is acknowledging it and find a groove….
I feel like a lot of competitors, especially now— and maybe this is something you can talk about more— discuss “BALANCE.” You hear someone say, “well if you have balance, bodybuilding can work.” and then you hear another top coach say, “there is no balance if you want to be the best.” We get conflicting messages and its all very personal and subjective. Realistically, if you arent ruining your own life or your relationships AND you are still working toward your goals…you’re probably doing alright. But if you are killing yourself and ruining everyone around you JUST to look better, there IS a problem. Sorry for the rant brother.
By the way, not sure if its the addition of the ARM day or just you getting leaner….but your arms have looked MASSSSIVE in all the check-in pics lately man. Even on the podcasts I’ve seen you on….they are looking like a top body part right now sir.Another day down
Another very positive day in the bag
Was speaking to Jordan today About how easy I’m finding this prep, well maybe not just prep but bodybuilding on a whole. Everything we have to do day to day is just entirely second nature.
I don’t feel as tho I’m missing out on anything, I don’t crave or want for anything I’m just very happy doing what I love and I hope more people feel that way.
Off the back of this conversation I thought about peoples mental health and in actual fact body building as a sport can really drag you in to something you might not be able to handle. Do you know a buddy builder who has body dismorphia? An eating disorder or someone that is constantly setting goals and failing? I’ll start my diet Monday….thousands of them right.
Long story short I’d like to raise awareness on the draw backs and how body building might damage someone’s mental health and really hurt there quality of life whilst there trapped in the bubble.
Sorry for the war and peace but I think it’s an interesting and important topic.

Hey man thanks for the comments brother and the compliments their always appreciated 😉I believe balance depends on your level, your goals, expectations and aspirations.
My balance is minute, I’d say 99% bodybuilding and 1% everything and anything else but I doubt many can get away with this and be happy.
I believe to be your best especially as a competitive bodybuilder with average genetics balance is something that doesn’t really exist.
In the off season I might stretch to 90% but that’s an honest reflection of what I feel it takes at the top level to still make progress.
I own a gym and I see people day in day out that just don’t change for years and that’s because they’ve reached there peak of what is possible without sacrifice.
Most just aren’t prepared to do what’s required to level up and they point the finger at people who simply work harder for taking more drugs etc which is just laughable.
I know the overriding factor is hard work and less balance.
