Are you icing it post sessions and later on?

Have you been getting some Deep tissue therapy on the surrounding muscles

what is your warm up procedure like?

How much stretching are you doing?

    Are you using any AAS?

Have you had your bloods tested to see if there is something askew here? Once E2 gets low people start to notice these issues build up if not carefuly?

IME people forget about most if not all of the above and start looking at volume etc way to quickly

Also in regards to locking out – I rarely lock things out due to stress on the elblows/tendons. Just because your not truly locking out doesn’t mean your doing a partial rep

Science has shown us 6-8 total sets to failure is more than efficient over the week for stimulation and thus muscle retention IMO.

I would initially do as Jordan says and stop doing stuff that aggravates it.

I would address all of the above your not doing.

Look at Kwang long oil and rub this on the areas before training and train in a long sleeve top to keep the areas warm -this can help alot.

Look to use TBJP join in –

Thank you very much, I followed both your and Jordan’s advice and my elbow is starting to feel a little better. I get weekly Graston/ART and I voodoo floss my elbows weekly. My blood values are all fine, I take my blood values E4W because I am quite health conscious, especially with all the deaths lately.

I have been wearing Nike Elbow Sleeves and on top of that Tuff Wraps Compression Sleeves, while I also use the Kwang Long Oil and have removed some exercises from my selection that were exacerbating the symptoms – e.g., more machine work and one-arm work to better align weight distribution across my joints.

In this position I wouldn’t pull out from a prep , I would just rest the upper body for whatever potentially hurts it for 2 weeks , so you have dropped all the irritation , then re add movements that are entirely safe / pain free and do them in higher rep ranges , in this period re add cals a bit

Once your healed up , crack on .
You can nip tendinitis in the bud quickly if you pull back off it, trying to push through it will literally bury them

Understood, thanks for your reply Jordan. I remember years ago you also suffered from insane forearm/elbow tendinitis that required you to stop training for 4-8 weeks and do leg EOD.

Is there any insight/knowledge you can share from that experience? Certain rehab exercises or therapy methods that did/didn’t work, anything you would do differently to speed up the process?

Ronnie walked – literally just steps , never did stairs.

Jay never did 2 hours stairs , he had some preps zero cardio , he was a huge outlier for sure though to be the size he was, hence one of the very best there has ever been

Try doing 15,000 steps at once , vs splitting it with breaks – see how you feel

You have your mind made up already on it, so then you can test your hypothesis and see how you feel 🙂

That’s all we did to come to our conclusions and then we share them, after prepping hundreds and hundreds of people , we don’t have emotional biases with stuff like this, I literally couldn’t give a fuck what way is more optimal , I just want to do the one that gets the best results

If you feel you have a way that feels best for you , do it

What you’re saying is absolutely correct, your anecdotal evidence is much better than my superstition. I’m going to try to pay more attention to my fatigue, thanks for the thoughts everyone.

it is garbage for fat loss if you have any kind of muscle and or train hard due to the fatigue accumulation.

i could do 3 hours cardio for my first ever comp because i was 150 pounds and a tiny baby

the biggest issue with bodybuilding is it’s impossible to tell just how much the game changes once your big and strong – like bodybuilders are aspiring to be

gen pop, smaller guys and all girls, ye have at as much cardio as poss, make zero diff

anyone with any levels of muscle need to use their tools all extremely precisely

The difference is how much fatigue you accumulate from it, it is not frowned upon it’s just not a smart third to do. Does it work ? Yes Does it cause more fatigue ? Yes What leads to poor muscle retention during prep ? Fatigue Spreading your activity through the day is literally effortless. Why would someone want to literally trash them self with a massive stint if expenditure in one go when energy levels are already compromised from being lean ? Doesn’t make any sense bud at all

If the daily output (expenditure) is exactly the same, why would the person who splits their expenditure be less “fatigued” or, in other words, why would someone be “wrecked” from doing 15K steps at once vs. not wrecked by doing 15K steps but split up, it’s still essentially the same daily output? Genuine question.

Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler did up to 2 hours of stairs for their preps and retained their muscles just fine, of course these are extreme outliers but there are many pros who do exactly that and retain all of their musculature, what I’ve personally observed when people’s legs wither away is that they never had legs to begin with.

I could understand the fact of “low expenditure” in general if you want to maximize muscle retention when you’re really big and focus your energy on training, but doing your expenditure all at once or spread throughout the day doesn’t personally seem to make sense to me that one would build more fatigue than the other, unless I’m missing something critical.

tremendous session, i am VERY happy, fitness is rocking and rolling now!

i put 4iu gh back in yday and will do today, im happy to go to 8 once im lean lean, too much water for me on 8 unless im super lean

will need to crack out the BG monitor again for 8 aswell, be fine when lean lean, but the moment food goes up, need to be monitoring that

    prime incline x 5 x 5
    prime shoulder x 5
    dip x 9 x 5 x 13
    lateral x 5 x 6 x 6 x 6 x 10
    cable fly x 9 x 5 x 12
    tricep pushdown x 8 x 6
    standing calf x 9 x 7 x 6 x 5

    pull tmo

Is that Pharma GH or Generics? I see more and more people saying that the quality of generics has become so good that Pharma is almost throwing your money away these days.

I never use on me or my athletes any orals except anavar.
You can have a much better look without orals

Explain please! I’m interested behind your thought process. I do feel like at a certain point adding more drugs will make your look actually worse than better.

But I’m moreso talking about 1G Mast vs 400Mg Mast, I feel the lower mast dosage gives you a better look same with tren.

I currently still experience ED, I wish I never used accutane. I’m trying to resolve it currently going to my MD and we’re just trying different things but no success yet.

But the chances of you getting this is extremely slim to be honest, I know lots of mates that have been using accutane with no ED Problems.

You need a full diet Assesment.
Pull things back to the most non allergenic foods, easiest to digest and high in natural gut flora and pre biotics.
I do this with all my IBS/sibo/leaky gut clients n it needs to be ran like this for 4-6 weeks minimum to see how things are changing.
You then rotate foods n keep
A log to see what’s causing flare ups.
In my experience it can be anything during n off season from
    Food choices
    To much solid food
    Food Timings
    Intolerance
    Gut issues
    Gastric transit issues
To much of the wrong types of fibre for your body

I pulled the chicken from my diet and my digestions feels heaps better! Wow, tried literally every thing possible but never once thought chicken could be the issue, thanks alot guys.

Hilly, I have a question for you. How does our Gut Health change so much whilst we’re prepping? Is it possible to maintain this gut health whilst literally pushing into the 6K Calorie Range?

For example. I am lactose intolerant if I eat 1 tub of yogurt, quark or anything dairy related I’ll have diarrhea straight for 2 days. I remember whilst I was dieting and really low BF / Calories I could literally eat 1 Tub of Quark/day with zero issues.

I did 2 bouts of Accutane and both self prescribed.

First bout was about 6-8 months long and really low dosages 20mg-40mg, I noticed mild clearing of acne and almost no side effects but my acne wasn’t cleared.

Second bout was about 12 months long and I went up too extremely high dosages up to 200mg’s, this permanently cured all my acne but left me with (Permanent) ED, I don’t know if it’s permanent because I’ve been off for almost 12 months and I still experience ED.

ED in the sense of that my penis feels really numb and not sensitive to stimulation at all, it’s feel like I have no penis? I never experience spontaenous erections or morning wood anymore and I have extreme trouble staying hard whilst having sex, I pretty much live on 10-20mg Daily Cialis or 50mg Viagra else I can’t satisfy my girlfriend my penis just gets soft extremely quick and mind you I’m only 22 years old.

Maybe I could try to attempt to fix it with the help of the likes of @drdeanstmart in the nearby future but if I could give you any advice either don’t do it or stay relatively low-dose. It did cure all my acne which was the only thing I wished for at that moment clear skin but at what cost did I get it?

Have you tried any? I don’t want to buy 1 and then have to bin it, hint of maple is treating me v well.

241.2 , @corinne is happy with the look, I feel I’m in a gd spot for 4 out , I think we can hit really gd condition and not have to rush this last bit .

2 ketotifen before bed really does help me sleep, I wake up a bit groggy from it.

So on days I train I have it a bit before bed so I’m not groggy in the morn before sessions . If/when Corinne takes clen to 80 , I will take the keto to 3 tabs. Which then really does a great job imo

Tomorrow I believe the plan is no clen as it’s leg day which is a much more taxing session , and my food is a little higher too , no doubt will still creep down a touch more after that session. I defo think will get 3 pounds this week from here , based on these changes , 238/235/233 will be very nice indeed

Since Dr.Dean has debunked the myth of clenbuterol downregulation, can I assume that you take ketotifen solely to sleep better whilst in prep?

James, I was wondering what does or did your daily activity look like in your off season apart from the cardio?

Do you have any idea how many steps you were making?
