    2 days out 🤯

    Not sure where the last 20 weeks have gone but here we are. Kuba is very happy with the look today so decision made to very slightly increase food. Sodium and water same again today.

    In for an upper body session this afternoon. Obviously no heroics just two exercises and two sets per exercise at about 80%

    Current diet:

    * Training day nutrition

    – meal 1 150g berries
    100g cream of rice 40 iso whey
    30g dark choc

    – meal 2 175g chicken 100g rice 50g avocado
    50g apple

    – Meal 3 175 g steak 10g dark chic
    600g potaotes 100g pineapple

    – Meal 4 pre 100g rice 150g berries 150g chicken 100g greens 20g dark choc

    – Intra 15 g eaa 20 g sustain 5g creatine 10 g glutamine

    – Meal 5 140g g rice based cereal 50g isolate 100g fruit

    – Meal 6 150g chicken 100g asparagus or spinach 100g rice 100g berries 50g avocado

    3 days out, time is absolutely flying by now

    Photo from yesterday post workout I’m very very happy with. This seems to be the weight I need for a good balance of full and “dry” at 86kg. 5kg up from my lowest in my first prep although at least 5kg of fat less as well lol

    Plan for today is rest, steps at 8k and food remains the same as it has done for the last 10 days.

    Sleep finally improved, energy and mood so far today in a fantastic spot. Really spending a lot of the day not feeling like I’m on prep, even sex drive is making a come back after what feels like a lifetime.

    4 days out – little weight drop but seems to be water rather than fullness

    High stress yesterday that ended in me having a proper wobble about being ready. Work related but then spilled over when traffic meant it would be a 2 hour trip to the gym one way, went to a local place for it to be closed, ended up in a less than ideal facility but made it work.

    Pretty shocking sleep last night but it is what it is, hoping for some naps through the day.

    BUT pulled myself around and this mornings, check in shots are the best me again.

    Pulling steps down today, orders from Kuba are to pose eat and train but nothing else which sounds very good to me.

    I’d check the quality of your tap water, you can get pretty cheap ones online (amazon etc). Living in Scotland I get pretty good quality water, when I lived in London I’d probably have preferred to drink puddles on the street over what came out my tap.

    It is obviously a competition but at the point I’m at placing is really irrelevant (although it would be a nice bonus). Really proud of I how it’s come along

    Hey buddy! How you feeling? What’s the plan for this week?

    Feeling really really good currently, energy has made a big come back today

    Lighter push session today, pull tomorrow then back in on Friday for upper body/arms then travel down to Manchester Saturday. Normally I’m someone stressing out about travel and planning but Kubas done a great job of taking that pressure off

    5 days out back to 86.1kg

    Mentally in a very good spot this morning, ready to keep powering on. No changes today other than returning to baseline expenditure of 8k steps.

    Todays delt focussed push session (all sets 1-2 RIR):

    Dumbell lateral raise – 2 set of 10-12 micro pause at the top

    Machine shoulder press – 1 set 1 set 8-10 reps 1 set of 10-12

    Dc stretch delt with d handle after last set

    Reverse banded incline smith machine press – 1 set of 10-12 reps,
    1 set 12-15

    Heavy dip 2 second pause in stretch each rep here use chains here so we get a drop off in stretch –, 1 set 10-12

    Cable cross over
    2 sets 12-20 jam your bicep into your pec here

    Cross body tricep extension lateral tricep head bias 2 second pause in peak of contraction here – 1 set 12-15, 1 sets 8-10

    Abs – 2 x 10-12

    Thought I’d post some comparisons of my first showing in 2020 vs todays photos. Mostly as just motivation for myself. We all know the progression element of bodybuilding is key to why we do it – and progress has certainly been made

    Legs yesterday was exactly what I wanted out of the session. Nice pump, just kept calm and collected going into the set and made sure not to “send” anything. kubas attention to detail and specifics on how to approach the sets was absolutely spot on. Without trying to sound like a shill his coaching is literally another level.

    Expenditure yesterday went higher than I’d have planned thanks to spending some time with friends and family – the positive is it was very low impact “steps”, not the usual power walking steps I’d count.

    Rest today and some light massage work this evening. Plan is to get around 5k steps. Food remains high as it has been for the last week. Finally added it in myfitnesspal and comes to 4300 kcal (without intra) which I was very pleasantly surprised at. The inner fatty in me is still screaming for off plan meals but we all know that is the reality of 19+ weeks of dieting without any. Hot topic in the industry right now but I do feel my results speak for themselves in that they are not a requirement for most competitors (although for the big boys with stage weights 230lbs+ I totally see the logic)

    Weight down a little today but looks like inflammation as the look is improved. Very very excited to get on stage and showcase the improvements made since my first timers show.

    The issue I find with a lot of the educational stuff is there are some very strong opinions that often aren’t as black and white as presented so take them with a pinch of salt

    Anything dr Scott is going to be great same with John Jewet. Past that I see it more as entertainment

    Weight holding today and look improved again after a day of full rest.

    Same again today with the last leg session before show going in.

    Todays session will be as follows:

    Legs 2

    All working sets 2 reps away from total failure so 90% effort calm and relaxed

    Lying leg curl
    Set 1 8-10 2 second hold in peak of contraction
    Set 2 10-12 no hold constant 0 momentum micro pause top and bottom
    Set 3 10-12

    Adductor
    2 sets 15-20 2 second hold at top 4 second eccentrics rest pause set

    Pendulum squat 2 sets 10-12 reps 2 reps in reserve perfect reps 90% effort

    Leg extension 2 Set 10-12 80% effort

    Calfs super set preacher Cable curl using ez bar bicep curl
    20-25
    Set 1&2 3 0 momentum micro pause at the top 3 seconds and 1 second bottom
    Set 3 pause at top 3 seconds 3 second stretch

    Probably as lame a session as it gets with reps in reserve but we know what is needed to improve the look and that is not through all our training
