Hi Louis, are you able to start listing your workout and what your do? Very keen to see the difference between ppl and sst
Hi Michael, I have switched back to straight sets due to being on TRT for the next few months! I can post some of james SST training if you’d like but if you look back on my log over the past few months there’s a lot of SST workouts that I have posted before! It’s a lot different to PPL!
This would be great Louis? -

Oscar, what are you planning to run in your next cycle?

These workouts look great Oscar!
Question:
– the ‘Atlantis press’ on push day is it a flat or incline?
– will you be adjusting volume or adding exercises as the wk progress?
– will you have planned devolumes every ‘x’ wks similar to JP? -
Kuba I noticed you’re using a ring light for your checkins…I’ve just purchased one myself and curious as to how you set yours up? Do you have a preference with the height of the tripod? How far away from you is it set up?
I don’t anymore, it was washing me out too much so I opted for a better light in the room.

Hope all is well Stefan! How has your flight been? What do you advise your athletes to eat and drink whilst flying?

These are the mainmoves where I want to make progress at the others are just isolation exercises where I just take note of the weight not the reps.
Awesome! Makes total sense -

Hi Stefan,Just found your log today and have binge read it all already.Very informative! My first cycle was 250mg test and made some epic results.I’m now a couple weeks in to my second cycle of 300mg test.Am I upping the dosages to little? I know Jordan say’s you want to gain the most out of the least. Thankyou v much!
I see it exactly like that. If you have no more progression i always follow thst steps before upping the dose:
1. is there room for more food
2. would an additional recovery day benefitial for progression
3. is growing phase too long and we net to step one step back to get forwardhow do you assess that (benefits of additional recovery day)?
I’m always tending to train too much (I believe), it’s really hard for me to take more than 2 rest days a week. I’ve forced myself now to cut back to 4 training days and 3 restdays, but so far (4 weeks) I’m not making more progress in terms of strength (for hypertrophy its too early..). Science almost always says “the more volume, the better”, just a few days ago e.g. menno henselmanns shared a study comparing 16 vs 24 vs 36 sets/week – all to failure – and the participants doing the most work had the most gains by far.. and nope they were not beginners, all benching 100kg+ for reps at least was minimum requirements.
I love the JP training style (about 5-8 hard sets per muscle about 1.5 times a week, so roughly 10 sets per muscle per week) and follow it for 2 years now, but I’ve began to wonder if more volume wouldn’t be better after all..
also regarding lukas I think he was greatly overlooked last year, I think the condition he brought with you was much improved and he should have placed higher in almost all shows he did in my opinion, that’s one big mofo und his shape is also decent. can you elaborate on his problems? health (bloods from last prep still not ok?) or something personal (than of course no need to talk about any specifics – if its health related I’d be interested what it is and how you deal with it so we could learn from that maybe).
Did you completely read the article? The author clearly highlights that Bodybuilders thought this was good because of the pump, however we know metabolic stress doesn’t directly stimulate muscle growth. Muscle growth is primarily the result of mechanical tension on the muscle.
He also highlights that training intensity is a key factor
