Best investment in my training I ever made was hiring a coach for an off-season .it took all the stress and over analysing of everything away and all I had to focus on was beating the log book. I was able to push food higher then ever before which put me in a cracking position for my prep

I understand what your saying Stephen but at the end of the day, do you think bodybuilders before us worried about this? Dorian, Ronnie, Jay?
It’s simple, bust your ass. What you’re worrying about can’t be measured. You can track your neat, track your progress in the gym and measure your diet.
By getting that extra rep on a 250+ squat or dead will be more beneficial then worrying about 1 or 10 calories
This is my mindset and approach -
Sorry I don’t buy into it
It’s like saying the more I drive my car from point A to B the less fuel I’ll use!
Don’t overcomplicate things.

I hate these types of threads/questions…no disrespect to you.
This is why…
Someone tells said person ‘they don’t have what is takes’ and said person goes out of his way to prove them wrong. Ballsy as fuck, has something to prove and just a determined SOB…
Same scenario but different person may just fold like a deck of cards and never set foot in the gym again.
Do what your heart tells you. If you are passionate and love it, why the fck are you questioning your commitment? You said this sport is time consuming and requires a lot of sacrifice…so does drinking down at your local pub a few nights a week.
You just finished your first show…if you were expecting to win everything maybe you needed a reality check and need more realistic goals. This games a marathon, not a sprint….if I were to give one piece of advise to myself as a 20yr it would be to just keep doing what you’re doing -
Have you been tracking your steps at all?

Firstly, have you watched Jordan’s insulin video?
Secondly, why basa? I wouldn’t feed that shit to my dog.
-
All the above are brilliant responses.
Are you incorporating refeeds?
-
How much dairy are you consuming?
As @jdh has suggested…eliminate it
