There are certain periods during the day that carb ingestion would be more beneficial than others. E.g insulin sensitivity being highest upon wake and post workout. However, fat cells are equally as receptive during the a.m, where as PWO GLUT-4 encourage glycogen to be stored within the muscle cells, no fat.
So you’d probably be best to situate carbs peri-workout to maximise performance, then allow for a steady insulin secretion throughout the day. -
Agree regarding the horizontal leg press. I opted for it when I tweaked my hamstring as it keeps a lot of tension in the quads, especially around the knee! Also when adding the slight pause that you have been on the hack!

Finally caught up with the log! Great read Dan!! Really keen to see how the prep unfolds! Looking awesome buddy!

Second Hilly here! Anecdotally I’ve seen improvements in body comp, training performance and energy/cognitive function during the day with the removal of carbs from first meal, especially when you replace those carbs peri-workout.

are you sure that he’s programmed reverse band or regular banded hacks? Think that needs to be clarified first! It’s most likely regular, hence making it harder at lockout, not assisting you out of the hole.

Agree with Hilly here! It’ll also depend on how you want the consistency to turn out. Use more for a creamier consistency but obviously you’ll need more cooking time.
I initially microwave for 2 minutes, then there after in 30s intervals. The key is to use a fork to stir and ensure all lumps are out before heating again.Much prefer having it cold also, so cooking in the morning and leaving in the fridge for PWO in the evening.

The pivotal rep system seems to have tiers to it and within these tiers there are rest pauses, like you mentioned but also partials and iso-holds.

To start off with I would go through all videos with JP. Leave the gear talk for now and focus on the topics of training and nutrition. Despite there being LOADS of content on here. If you focused on those topics, it wouldn’t take you too long to get a grip on it.
However, I know that Jordan has adapted/very slightly changed some of his views over the past 2 years. So maybe some of his old videos do not match his current ideologies. BUT much of his original ideas hold true today and have shaped the current, so would still be worth watching.

There was a huge recall a few months ago, so potentially could be that. Seems crazy really, seeing as some people base their insulin off these readings…

Shot above looks great Dan!! Pleased to hear you’re getting on top of the niggles too, the chiro sounds good! I may need to make the trip to sort myself out too haha!

25gs of EAAs isn’t 25gs of protein. 1g of protein has all the EAAs at a high dosage, one that you wouldn’t find in an EAA product, especially the ones that don’t even contain all 9 EAAs

I third the Ultra Flex suggestion!

Shots looking great Dan! The rear delt in your quarter turn looks nutty!! Sessions are looking great and hope the trap is nearly sorted!
