Baby steps with food.
Got 12 months of this. I’m in no rush
Still 2 high days a week
Cardio as is 40 mins plus abs. 20 mins walk later

Doing the exact same thing small push-ups over a longer period, always whacked the calories up and put in watery compounds in. Which in return has brought muscle but around 50lbs of water and fat in the process too haha?! Should be able to get to around 6000 cals relatively easy this time

I add an extra 40 g p on top of protein to make sure I’m at least getting 300 g per today of complete protein. Does the trick ??

This has been covered so much.
If your trying to grow muscle the scale must go up
Strength must go up
Training must progress for strength to go up
Food must progress for weight to go up n muscle to grow
How much is person depending
Personally 4-6lb a month is ample on average of overall weight
If pushing gear this may be more in short spells

I find 4-6 lbs a month seems a lot for someone who’s been training 10 years and will only be able to build so little muscle every year
You find 1lb a week to be to much on someone who’s taking “physiological “ levels of test and you’re in a gaining phase your not in the right game mate. Stop asking crazy amounts of questions then not agreeing with the answers.

Some things you could try mate for my point of view is too.
*put your pre workout meal back slightly to say 90/120 mins pre workout giving it more time to digest
*Take the fat out of the pre workout meal so it digests quicker causing the Intra to sit better
*How much fluid is in your intra shake?
*Have you always used the Gatorade power, with no issues?
To be honest EAAS are not critical in the slightest to making progress, as long as you have ate 30-40 G protein within a few hours of the gym your completely fine. People seem to think that meat and whey digest within 2-3 hours, it’s still in your gut for 24 hours so you are still getting the benefits up to a day after, if it’s still not sitting just drink it post it really really doesn’t matter

Hey Jamie. Thanks for the response. my pre-workout meal is 90mins pre workout, but 60 mins before intra drink which I currently drink omw to the gym. I’ve tried even training “fasted” with an intra twice because of shitty work schedule due to Covid once upon a time and it still upset my stomach quite a lot.

I normally have my intra workout in a 1 liter shaker cup, I’ve tried a half gallon before but it was way too much water to jug causing bloating simply because of the ammount of water floating inside of me.

The gatorade powder is really good with me, it’s just a sweetener and I use the propel powder mostly for its potassium as I eat very little potatoes.

hope this helps.

I’m thinking skipping the EAAs altogether since they seem like just a waste of money at this point lol. Not sure if those 40g of carbs right before, specially since they’re pretty much as easy to digest as possible would help me in my workout or if I shouldn’t even bother specially since I’m in a surplus either way and my glycogen is mostly always full.

To be honest mate if it’s causing that much of an issue just take it out, like I said your completely covered from an amino and carb respective anyway. Think about EAAS and aminos have only gotten big in the last few years and there been plenty of big bodybuilders before this haha

Hi,

First of all if your backs a weakness then you have too add some compound work in there, for me at your age these need to be you’re bread and butter… there needs to be a DB row/ T bar Row / heavy Dboe row or a deadlift in there. You are not going to get the same development from doing a meadows row etc. IMO you don’t warrant any intensifiers until you have nailed the straight and back k off sets and got big from doing it. Again there isn’t any really upper back workout either.

Quads and hams need to be in the same session, I’m not sure how you have issues with your lower back when there’s no loading in there. For me you need to be progressing compound lifts on both quads and hams every session you go in, the more times you can hit them the more chance you have of growth.

Hilly what do you think of the „hype“ polyunsaturated fats like sunflower seeds get here at the moment ? People say one can look leaner when they consume a lot of polyunsaturated fat

You’ve asked the same question on every athletes page and had the same answer mate?

Totally agreed , if your using gh and insulin ( which means your advanced) , check it
If your not, then it makes absolutely zero sense , it’s just another way for people to distract themselves , same crap as the sleep monitors , just distractions . If I’m due to train that day I’m training , I don’t give a fuck what my Waking HR says or my hours of REM sleep, if I’m due to pull a pb then I’m pulling that fucker

????? Ahmen to that bud

I also don’t really understand why people are taking their BG levels if they aren’t using drugs that effect them. If your not over eating and moving adequately, you won’t have high BG levels. Imo it’s just madness people even giving that stuff a seconds attention , that focus should be going into training harder – that alone will fix any BG issues too if you train really really really hard . Yet more just random ways to not focus on the hard stuff and distract themselves with useless info

I agree and understand jordan , I was just checking now out of curiosity is all as I’ve been checking everything possible from health point of view before pushing hard again when gyms open up and usual have to push calories high to gain tissue and wud only be checking it then to see what foods I digest better in that phase
Why do you think your Fasted waking BG will reflect food digestion? It 100 percent won’t at all , you haven’t eaten anything for 8 + hours , Unless your comparing a huge pizza meal to a huge cheesecake meal pre bed, checking fasted glucose will not give any indication whatsoever into digestion .
Take that mental energy and channel it into a 20 rep leg press pb every 5 days
Hahaha laugh when I see people monitoring BG so closely thinking it’s the holy grail of being in the optimal situation for fat loss/ muscle building… how about you monitor how you eat, how you train, what your bf levels and how much muscle you have first, then once all that is immense at a v high level then maybe just maybe check it once ?

Is there a reason for the higher days on a non training other than the recovery aspect mate ? Are you looking for a certain amount of weight gain each week or getting to a certain level of body fat and going from look?

Rest day ticked off today. Cardio done. Some work. Shopping around Dubai mall which is the biggest mall in the world so that was stressful with the kids haha. But it’s as fun. Got some nice new bits considering I’m living on holiday clothes. Lol. Filming chest tomorrow for my YouTube channel finally! Needed to get content in. It’s also check in day and off plan meal day. I feel big. I feel fat. Not really enjoying it apart from not going hungry and having good energy. But I’m hoping to get tighter with the addition of masteron so let’s see how that goes when it kicks in. Bought some finastride too so I can try and hold onto my hair hahaha. Looks like a transplant is going to be on the cards after that competitive season.

Hi mate you know finasteride only works with Test only, it is literally useless for any other steroid and in fact makes it ten times worse with compounds such as NPP so be careful.
Thanks mate. But I’m not using any npp. Only test mast and primo. And I’m going off what my coach has recommended. I’ve never heard of it only working with test. As far as I know it’s a dht blocker. So the drugs that are dht derivatives like masteron it will help with.
No mate it doesn’t work like that, testosterone is
is the only anabolic steroid that is converted to DHT via 5-alpha reductase,

So mate the steroids that are substrates for 5-alpha reductase are converted to unique metabolites with their own anabolic and androgenic potency.

Basically testosterone is the only steroid that creates DHT that goes through the scalp, other steroids that have higher DHT such as Mast and Tren do not convert via 5-alpha recustase.

Therefore Finasteride cannot block DHT for likes of mast etc only test I’m afraid, like you said it’s your coach who should know, not your fault mate

Don’t understand why you are starting cardio at 60 mins and having zero carbs at this point 3 days of the week? When is the show you have planned?
