Hi, sorry to hear that. Have you also been put on a course of steroids?. If you’re in the UK get onto the Crohn’s & Colitis charity site they have some really good info on nutrient and examples of athletes and how they manage it. I’m not a medical expert, but from what I know of the disease and observations It shouldn’t stop the growth.
You will need to really listen to your body and monitor your levels and through trial and error get to know what trigger foods affect you and adjust your diet accordingly. You need to make sure that the body can get the nutrients from the food. You will get flare ups and when your levels drop especially iron you have to listen to your body and rest.
