Evening guys. Catch up day today! I’ve done so much travelling this last week so just been casting up on editing.
I also got a podcast in with Mike The Badass, very cool episode. Talked about how it feels to be the next inline to take the title next year now CBum has retired. That airs tomorrow at 6am GMT 🤝🏼
Push B tomorrow, excited to get in and train. Big work block in the morning with a 6am start, 2-3 meals down the hatch and then I’ll be heading in.

Afternoon guys. Epic day with Nathan and Andrew Jacked yesterday, so cool content and conversations post-Olympia. Always cool to hear the behind the scenes stories we hear about from the horses mouth. Andrew is a nice guy.
I’m back with him this evening as he’s doing a seminar here in Wales, so I’ll be heading down shortly to get some content for the gym he’s doing it in.
Training wise, in for posterior today. I’ve juggled some exercises around in my plan as I feel there wasn’t enough focus on certain muscle groups, across the week. More hamstring work added in today and am feeling it. Legs isn’t until Friday so plenty of recovery until then!
Also, reduced my bicep work down today from 2 exercises to 1 but 3 sets instead of 2, as tomorrow I have arms only (yes I have an arm day) so there’ll be a lot more volume thrown at them there.

Hi Jay,
Re your post on the 15th and struggling training early morn (5am) since being more zoned in – why do you think this has changed?
Do you think you need more food, fluids etc in you to match/beat the log book.
I’m asking out of curiosity more than anything else – a year a go I switched from training at 5pm to 6am and have personally felt so much better for it. It would not have always been the case, but I think since climbing the corporate ladder my energy levels and focus are so much better in the morning than they are following B2B meetings, pulling together reports, presentations etc.

Hey buddy, so I think it’s a combination of things. My ‘routine’ is so all over the place on days that I’m travelling for shoots etc, when I’m home it’s nice to have a solid day in place.
6am-12pm: heavy work block of editing etc
12.30pm-2.30pm: training
3.30pm-5.30pm: light work block of editing etcThis means ‘mentally’ I’m more focused going into the session knowing work is pretty much done for the day.
I trained fasted for so many years with no issues and I’m sure if it was what I HAD to do I’d get used to it, but feel so much better with 2 meals in and hydrated!

Depends on your total protein for the day. You want protein feed spread evenly so divide your daily total by how many meals you eat and then you’ll have the serving requirement. For me I’m doing around 50-60g across 6 meals a day.

As the guys above have said, all based on your meal timings but mine pretty much fall in line with every one else. Pre meal around 90 mins before training, then EAA’s as an intra followed by post workout around 30 minutes after I train once I get back from the gym.

Morning guys! Absolutely wrecked yesterday after a heavy few days up north.
Saturday was the TBJP 2Bros show, which I was attending as an athlete and videographer filming Oscar’s show day. Congrats to him, he looked incredible! Nice to catch up with people and be there in a slightly different role to usual.
Yesterday was just a juggling act, getting a session in early to then do life stuff. Get my meals prepped as I’m back on the road today. Currently on my way to Macclesfield as I’m filing with Andrew Jacked and Nathan De Asha. I’m pretty much part of the tour with Andrew as I’ll be filming him again tomorrow for a seminar in South Wales. Non stop!
Push A this morning. All numbers up and a wicked session! Everything is the highest it’s ever been for me now, from performance to food and supps. Week 8 of the push up!

Evening all. A busy one here! Hope you all enjoyed the latest site video with Jordan, had to get that turned around pretty quickly as I’m now away for 2 days.
Manchester today shooting at FLF (the OG’s may remember the site videos there with Jord?)
Over to Sheffield tonight to touch base with the boys Oscar and Nathan, before show day tomorrow for Os. Looking incredible!
I’ve been up since 3.40am so about 21 hours awake as I’m typing this with nearly 7 hours of driving and 5 hours shooting. Wiped out!
Oh and legs at 5am this morning, another day in the life of Magic Eye. Sleep time.

Evening guys! Busy one in the books as I was filming with Jord at Cojo’s which meant either a 5am session or 5pm session…I chose 5am & regretted it.
I went so many years being able to train at that time of the day no problem, but since being more zoned in on my bodybuilding I just can’t get on with it. Needs must and all that but should have trained later in the day in hindsight!
Numbers matched or increased, so a good one considering but lesson learned.
I’ll be getting the new site video done tomorrow so I imagine it will be live either Thursday or Friday so keep your eyes peeled!
Oh…I also got the new clothing bits from an upcoming drop. Very nice!!!! 👀

As Jord said, slower the better. So that could mean changing those calorie adjustments to 300’s rather than 500’s the deeper you get into it!

Looks spot on! Looking further ahead if you’re body is running away from you with only the slight cal increase, just reduce output down to 10k steps then cardio to maybe 5 days per week. Obviously something you’ll have to manage on a week to week basis if your staying off for 10 months 👊🏼

Afternoon guys, what a weekend 🥵 A mixture of last minute shoots, last minute meal prep and last minute training sessions. Welcome to my life lol
The Alpha Supps team were over from the Netherlands and their videographer didn’t show, so Magic to the rescue. So 2 back to back shows at The Shed Saturday & Sunday with training slotted in around that.
Amazing results for the TBJP team and UK bodybuilding at the Olympia! Congrats to all! So good to see Samson take the win, I’ve been friends with him since 2018 and witnessed the journey first hand. So inspiring!
In for Push today. I’m hitting all time strength on most movements right now. Still holding at 246lbs so I imagine changes on this weeks check in.

What’s going on guys! Back to life today, yesterday I was a little worse for wear. Glad to be back at it 🙏🏻
Decided to slide legs until tomorrow tho. Get a full day of food and hydration back in me so just arms today (yes I did an arm day lol)
Bodyweight is still up around 246lbs, we’re looking to touch 247/248 before any further changes are made.
Wicked weekend ahead of Olympia coverage and also the Boxing tomorrow night, zero plans apart from watching that, training legs tomorrow then I’ll have back on Sunday.

Got Push done earlier today. One of my tougher sessions of the week due to OH pressing but got numbers up across the board so very productive session.
