Good morning mate just watching your latest video , you wake up a very similar time to me and go to bed same time as me . Do you ever nap post work out at all ? I’m still having to nap and I’m 8 weeks post show . Sleep hygiene is spot on phone goes off and in another room after 7pm , correct supplementation , blue light blockers . I think I saw you use a sad light on a video correct me if I’m wrong I’ve purchased one waiting for it to arrive . Are there any tips you could give me ?
I don’t nap at all, I wake up and I am very much ready for the day. The only time I really need to nap is when my sleep quality is poor.
Here if you feel the need to nap I would break down sleep quality and readiness or you are simply fatigued and this needs to be managed better.
I will likely need to nap once I’m 270+ right now energy is very good
Yeah sleep quality is still not great I do put this down to post show , I’ve been lucky to get 7 hours sleep my average is 6 body naturally wakes up at 4am hence the early bed time as no matter what I do I can’t sleep past then !! I’ve tried everything ? so napping for 30 mins post work out and post cardio sometimes has been the only thing I can really do atm which is annoying . Is there anything else you suggest mate ?
At this point 8 weeks post show I would break down your current set up, from here you should be feeling fresh and should be recovered so sleep shouldn’t suffer as follow on from prep 8 weeks post show.
If it is, your set up needs addressing as something is off.
Another variable could be if you possible gained too much weight or not enough this could come into play.

Yeah so I’m pretty hungry a lot of the time I’ve only gained 2.5lb post show . Like when I wake up I feel alert but then come 7am god I sometimes feel awful and if I don’t nap post work out then go to work I’m terrible like a zombie at work .
If your 2.5 lbs up post show then you are probably not recovering post show
Again this will be down to your current set up. At 8 weeks post show none of this should be an issue at all
Realistically 4 weeks post show your sleep etc should be sorted, if you was lean enough 2.5 lbs up won’t keep you in a healthy spot or even have your body in a place where you can gain muscle
Yeah just a matter of time I guess then !
Thank you for always answering in so much detailJeannie

I do the above as Kuba does ensuring my clients supplement with some natural health supps like sea kelp and iodised salt to aid boosting the natural thyroid function
These are something I’d use year round but ensure they are IN post contest
How much of each would you recommend Meg?
Personally I run 1g sea kelp AM and 2g salt per meal
Have you seen clients suffer from any digestive issues coming off t3 or random weight gain
Both are common , the weight gain isn’t random, it’s an interim period before your body re establishes natural thyroid production where metabolism won’t be in line with food consumption , this will see weight gain.
Thanks Jordan 🙂Jeannie
