Solid days rest today. I’ve actually felt under the weather today and had a bad stomach for the most part but it allowed me to completely relax and just get the meals in

Check in this morning and Jordan is happy. Still floating around the 253-255 mark which seems ludicrous maintaining weight on close to 7k calories but the look is getting better especially in the gym things are looking in a great spot.

What’s your current split? You have 4 big pressing movements in your push days are you allowing enough time to recover? If yes then I would consider loosing one of the presses.

If all your other presses are increasing and it’s just the bench that has stalled you may want to swap it to a smith machine press, you could possibly band this too for a different stimulus, then you can go back to the barbell bench once the smith has been rinsed

As Clare says. Always stick to your split. If your ill then take the days off. If you feel you are getting tired and underperforming then it’s the time to look at the split and volume you are currently doing and adjust it accordingly so you don’t get too tired and can preform optimally on the days you need to

    Back day today.

Digestion seemed a little off this morning but I had my last meal pretty close to bed last night and it’s normal for this to have a knock on effect the next day. I trained in a 3 today instead of solo so the session was much longer and this sorted the digestion issue out with longer in between meals

The session overall was good and I beat the numbers from last week. The injured side felt much much better today and I’m itching to get some loading movements back in the plan. A back day isn’t the same if you aren’t absolutely shitting yourself before about something you are about to pick up

Rest tomorrow and I’ll get some pictures and post them up. Still sat around 255 in the morning currently. Condition is good. I’m very watery from the growth but bf wise im still pretty lean

Can I ask which brand of gh you are using Jimmy ?

Currently just some generic black tops which I really like. The fullness is crazy. Usually I would use genotropin but I actually prefer this stuff

You pretty much hit the nail on the head at the end there.

Set your cals and steps and when fat loss stalls add a small amount of direct cardio. This can be a walk on the treadmill or anything to slightly increase your overall expenditure across the week.

A lot of people will always swear by having intra EAA however with these protein feedings and timings you are adequately stimulating MPS so technically the EAAs aren’t necessary during the session some would argue
Although I would look to increase your protein intake from 20g whey. Depending on brand and profile of the powder you may not be taking on enough lucine here.

Why you switch push pull legs for this split?

It’s still basically a ppl set up or very similar but this way it allows more frequency and attention to my upper body. Arms etc which we are prioritising to bring them up

  • It’s not a case of what you can expect it’s a case of what you are willing to do. One persons 100% isn’t the same as another.

As hilly says firstly you will have to be assisted for that kind of tissue gain in one year then after that if you train hard and I mean HARD, eat properly to support your goals, rest adequately and you do this consistently day in day out then 10lbs is most definitely achievable

    Solid days rest today

Legs were feeling it but a couple of light walks helped. A busy day with client work so I have been pretty sedentary which was needed to aid in recovery. Everything is on point at the minute and I’m looking forward to getting in the gym tomorrow and beating the first set of numbers I laid down last week. All out progression from here on out

A number of factors can possibly be in play here

    – you need a deload. Your CNS is smashed and you aren’t recovering properly. An unrecovered muscle isn’t one that can preform maximally.

    – you are training too much. Too much volume can be counterproductive and take away from following sessions. More isn’t always more.

    – you aren’t having enough rest days. With a manual job your ability to recover will be hampered. In most cases people with manual jobs need to train less frequently or with less overall volume or both

    – you aren’t eating enough. A manual job alone will need a lot of calories then put training on top of that it could well lead to you underperforming.
