Fella , attachment will cost you progress in anything my friend , if you have goals, whatever they are – business , education , physique … being attached to a process slows you down, so that either is down to ignorance / stupidity or ego. So whatever the one is, fix it

I love this quote, very wise. This applies spiritually as well. As a Buddhist I work with non-attachment to all things all the time. And the root cause of all suffering is ignorance, attachment and ego.

PS. I said I’d sign up again and I did hehe .DS

The latest video, “Pull at FLF 5 weeks out” is only visible in the app, not on the website. I’ve noticed this happening with a few videos now so I thought I’d mention it.

London gyms – monster in Cheshunt, muscleworks in Bethnal Green , muscleworks Orpington , kings gym in south London , anyone else want to chip some in?

Thank you. 🙂 I will look them up. Sad to hear that Dorian’s gym is gone, but that’s OK.

If I were to make a “gym sightseeing trip” to London in the future, which ones would you recommend I try out? Other than obviously Dorian Yates gym for the historical factor, there seems to be so many incredible gyms there with amazing equipment. It would be fun to go there for a week and train at a new gym every other day.

Thanks for the replies, both of you. I’ll keep track of my major body parts as well (chest, shoulders, quads) with measuring tape and pictures. Already tracking performance, which is still pretty good. Slowing down a little bit since I upped calories last time, but not stagnant yet.

@architect Thanks. I’ll try upping them a bit this coming week.

How long do you usually wait before upping calories if weight doesn’t budge? My weight has been stagnant for 2 weeks now, wondering if I should give it a full month or not.

I just want to throw in a big thank you for the ebook. It inspired me to change my training from a 4 day bro split to the 2 day split detailed in the book. I had to change some of the exercises since my gym doesn’t have the equipment, and I tailored the volume a bit to myself. But man, I’m growing like a weed now and my strength is through the roof this past week with my calories going up. I’m really loving it, and I can’t wait until I reach my previous PRs (I’m getting very close) and hopefully pass them by. I’m 99 % sure that I will be both bigger and stronger than I’ve ever been by the end of the year at this rate.

Heavy is relative though IMO. If I do bench press rest paused for 12, 6, 4; I would classify that as heavy even though the weight is lower than if I only did a straight set for 4. You can do rest pause without going to failure too, leaving ~1-2 RIR (reps in reserve) for each part of the rest pause, stopping when the rep speed starts to slow down noticably. That way you spare your CNS a bit and can do more total volume while still recovering just as fast.

Wow, I’m so jealous. Jay is my favorite Mr. Olympia of all time simply because of his amazing personality and intelligent approach to bodybuilding. Definitely the best ambassador of the sport since Arnold. I still watch his training DVDs from time to time. It’ll be interesting to see how you go about implementing his advice.

I’m joking. 🙂 I don’t care what anyone eats. Hashtags were part of the joke.

You and John vs. me and Jay Cutler I guess haha.. he loves his “pasta pump” as he puts it. Whatever, lets not fight over carb sources and instead just agree that carbs are mana sent from Valhalla to fuel our workouts for ragnarok. #carboholics #notanonymous #icecreamislife

I notice a lot of guys love their rice. Do you eat it mainly because it digests well? Personally I’m a big pasta guy.. I never eat rice anymore. Pasta just sits better with me.
