okay i have no mentioned we are not prepping for comp! just to take bodyfat down to a good spot before we slowly push up!

12% bf 6 wks out, alot of work to be done my friend, more food is not the answer here, thoughts on dropping out and looking at a future comp instead. BUT you know you, so if your confident, stay in yur lane and best luck bro

Suck it up brother and crack on! Prep isn’t meant to be easy. Trust your coach and trust the process.

I went 6 weeks dieting myself and hired him to go another 6, then plan to reverse diet back up from there. Cals are the same , it’s just setting in more so now since adding more cardio, admittedly running myself thin lately with day to day stuff

    Comp prep??

Whatever amount of calories your eating now, make sure it’s consistent along with training and cardio. After a week if your weight has not moved up. Add calories, that simple. Do that each week unless the scale keeps moving then continue on amount that’s working ????????

I get this too, dieting or not. Benefit of diagnosing it while dieting is your only eating certain foods so it’s easier to the foods with issues. I found beef of any kind, and carb sources like potato’s give me issues, only found this out with prep. Switched foods and problem gone. Best of luck

Whilst dieting it’s normal to feel hungry and fatigued at the latter stages, but still we would need more info, how many kcals are you on, how much cardio are you doing, what’s your split & so forth to give you rational advice

Agree with @clare . If you feel well off on your current set up and are cutting no need to increase anything

I love it that’s basically how I’ve spent my year thus far.. much more sustainable mentally and physically helps you retain muscle IMO

James and you look great I follow you on ig. Question for you though, are you constantly focused on being in a deficit or do you have days where you eat in a surplus as well ? [/quote]

I threw in the odd day of surplus .. needed for sure and woll give you mental break here and there in order to keep pushing the deficit and all that comes with it

Exactly it’s not for a contest so I figured the same thing. Drop weight over a longer duration and see what I’m capable of. I’ve been treating the last 4 weeks like a prep and I’ve lost 10lbs. And now I’m really starting to feel it. Without a contest date the suffering doesn’t seem worth it at this point. After 4 weeks of hunger you ask yourself why am I doing this again? Haha and it becomes more difficult. Thanks for the input everyone
