Hey guys- this is the end of this log. I’m just having a few weeks to myself, without worrying about updating this and socials. Work with new influx of clients re-gym opening again is crazy so can’t keep up with the demand, without added stress.
I’ll restart a new log in a few weeks perhaps
Sad to see this as I enjoy reading your log, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I was in the same situation a long time ago! I had a very seccure job at the national old age injurance but I quit that job and opend my own gym. It’s very hard now especially through this covid 19 crises but I didn’t regret it one single day because I truly love what I do!
Thank you Michael! How did you overcome the fear of leaving such a secure job?

Good check in today. No changes. But checking in again at the weekend as I have had a big drop in weight over the weekend, despite starting back up on anavar.
4lbs said BYE BISH. but looking noticeably tighter so hopefully I have lost what I wanted to lose.@katiecshallbe_

Thank you so much @clare . Yes, I totally agree with the practicality of it.
Yes I have coached people and I currently am at the moment, but only a handful. All have given me lovely testimonials.
I agree with all that you are saying. But PT-ing with a fulltime job just seems a little difficult. But I’m sure I could make it work.
Have you always PT’d/coached or was this something you transitioned to as well?
Thank you so much for your advise Clare.

@katiecshallbe_Ah I thought you were just interested in online coaching.
I actually worked with young children for my first career and all of my initial qualifications was in this field. It was only once I’d had my 2 girls and taken time off work that I decided to follow a different path. Training has always been a part of me and I was fascinated by the body, so throughout my pregnancies I used the time to study and racked up Nutrition and Sports Nutrition qualifications. Then once my youngest was at nursery I enrolled onto a Personal Training course and later took this further and became a Sports Massage Therapist.
I now work both as a one to one PT and Sports massage Therapist.
However, I was fortunate to have the financial security of my husband’s work to enable me to pursue this new path. I’m glad I did though as I now do something that I love._________________________________________

Wow Clare that’s incredible! What a story! I’ll definitely be taking inspiration from this. Although, I’m no where near having the husband part yet, let alone a boyfriend ?@katiecshallbe_

Thank you Max. Really appreciate the response.
I just need to get better at advertising myself. I’m terrible at it. I feel as though I’m annoying people when I share stories, or my clients results.

So back round to Rotation 1 Lower A last night. My god I am absolutely and utterly obliterated today. 40 mins of cardio this morning on the spin bike at 5am was less than desirable. Luckily I was half awake for the first 20 mins. I’m going to have to sell this though as its not comfortable at all. Who on EARTH made spin bike seats for? Alien derrieres? Will look to get an elliptical/cross trainer or a treadmill instead.
Everything progressed. Very pleased. Our gym got a heap of new equipment! The old stuff was annoying at the best of times. The seated leg curl, leg extension, adductor/abductor machines were terrible. Life fitness equipment that was on its last legs. And I don’t know who’s body/limbs they were made for but trying to lock into those machines was a NIGHTMARE. All the new stuff is beautiful! A little getting used to at first which is expected, but a lovely feel.
Dual machine curl 2 sets x10-12
DB Lying Ham curl 37.5kg x11, 40kg x6 1/2 (All time PBs)
Adductor (New Machine!) 80kg x13 (Did a good few warm ups here as wanted to get a feel for the new machine)
Leg Press (NICE AND DEEP) x9-10, x7-8, x12-15 (I’m so so careful with the leg press as I have previously pulled my intercostal on it before- perfect reps, no ego here, although nearly got caught on last set)
Paused Smith Squat (FULL DEPTH) (* new smith machine- its horrible haha) x10-12
Leg extension RP (new machine, LOVELY) x13, x7, x6
Glute Bridge x2 sets 10-12
Abductor (new machine, again, LOVELY) x20 (under estimated weight, did a set of x30)
Standing Leg Curl RP x15, x6, x5
Hanging Leg Raises x2 sets
STRETCH
Standing Calf Raise x1 DC setHave physio this evening thank goodness. Another new physio that I haven’t been to before but she comes recommended. She does soft tissue work, cupping, dry needling <3 , and graston scrapping. I am very much looking forward to being in pain haha

Thanks Jamie.
I totally agree though. I didn’t mean 50% balance, but more so 90-99% balance. Prep is second nature for most of us. Even the one percent keeps me on the straight and narrow haha; as I seem to over think myself into a rut sometimes.
Very exited to see you on stage this year!

I totally agree with you here @theotherone55 on the thing of balance. I think some people get the totally wrong idea- being that anything outside of your bodybuilding endeavors draws you away from your ultimate/bodybuilding goals. But I think that even professionals, need something other than just bodybuilding in their life to keep them sane. I know for me personally, on prep, if I didn’t have work/my job, a couple of my other hobbies, I’d drive myself demented/insane and ruin my prep, if I didn’t have this so called “balance” I would over think everything I’m doing. The mental space away from bodybuilding, I think, is needed, before people burn themselves out.
