@lara-tasharofi wow Lara thank you! That means the world coming from you! ????
I used to have such a difficult time taking extra rest days if my body was telling me to do so- but I knew that if I went and trained yesterday that I wouldn’t have progressed any of my lifts and risked getting injured- making me feel worse than before if I done the session.
Thankfully woke up this morning ready to take on the world and EXCITED to smash my lower body to pieces ????@katiecshallbe_

That’s great!
I usually only do it whenever I have a flare up with my IBS.
I’ll fast for a complete 24 hours, drinking water, black coffee, tea etc. And then ease back into food with lighter soups, bone broth etc._________________________________________

That sounds good! How does your tummy respond to food after the fast? Does it take a little while to get comfortable eating food? I always eat light for a few days before going back to full diet.

It’s usually ok if my food choices are right- I try stick to as plain as possible foods that I know digest easily for me. Stuff like rice, rice cakes, chicken, fish and try not to overload on vegetables either. It’ll usually take a week or so for things to fully settle down again before heading back into normal diet so to speak. But I find it helps me.
Hope it’s helped you so far?@katiecshallbe_

Hello again 🙂
Had a really good check in with Corinne yesterday.
Food increased significantly. Cardio reduced again, as well as steps:
Rest Days: 20 mins LISS before meal 1 @130bpm. 10k steps.
Training Days: 8.5k steps.Getting anxious about not moving so much and weight creeping up but strength is on the increase so I really shouldn’t complain.
Training day food:
Meal 1 is to be eaten within 30mins of waking(6am) Meal 1 – 3 eggs, 3 whites cooked as you like
(9.30am) Meal 2 – 150g 5% fat beef, 8g coconut oil
(1pm) Meal 3 – 150g chicken, 5 rice cakes
(4.30pm) Pre gym meal, eaten 90mins before – 30g protein from whey, 50g oats, 40g blueberries
(5.45pm) 15-20mins before – 1 serving of PREpare
(Train 6-7.30pm) Intra mixed in 1-2litres of water, drink steadily throughout:
20g JP EAAs, 5g creatine, 30g Performance Fuel
(8pm) Pwo 30mins after – 10 egg whites, 55g rice or GF pasta, 40g cheerioes or choc shreddies with almond milk
(10.30pm) Pre bed – 15g protein from whey, 5 whites, 30g nut butter
Non training day
Meal 1 is to be eaten within 30mins of waking

(9am) Meal 2 – 150g 5% fat beef, 8g coconut oil
(12.30pm) Meal 3 – 150g chicken/turkey breast, 90g avocado
(3.30pm) Meal 4 – 150g chicken, 30g cashews
(7pm) Meal 5 – 150g chicken/turkey breast, 90g avocado
(10pm) Pre bed – 15g protein from whey, 5 whites, 30g nut butter
Highlights of yesterday evenings Full body session (lower back was quite sore and I’m currently dealing with my mid back and shoulder niggle, so was trying to be mindful of execution)
Paused BB Squat: (95kg x15, 105kg x10)
Paused BB RDL: (100kg x13, 105kg x10)
BB Row RP : (95kg x13, x8, x6)
DB Shoulder Press Standing : (20 kg x 8, 20kg x 6- Should have reduced weight of second set)
DB Flat Chest Press: (25kg x 8 and half) Was fuming! At least I got half a rep up on last time. Bench is a little wobbly too which doesn’t help)These full body sessions are now lasting nearly 3 hours in duration. I’m absolutely wiped of energy by the end of the session, but I’m progressing so I’m happy.

Ah ok, I see!
Yes I have – Have suffered with terrible IBS since I was a teenager, and have found fasting to help significantly at times.
I’ve seen it help people with SIBO too (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth).Glad to hear your feeling better already- hopefully it will help alleviate your horrible stomach problems you’ve been having.

Oh very interested to hear about the fast Louis. Who advised you or are you following a certain protocol from anyone?
I’ve read so much about fasting and its benefits with sort of resetting digestive issues etc.
How are feeling today?

Long time no see 🙂
I think the last time I updated here was the day of Luke’s passing. It honestly hit me very hard. Much more than it probably should have. But, I think its quite amazing how somebody that you’ve never met in “real life”, can have such an impact on your life. A positive one.
I’ve spent countless hours watching his youtube videos, Fouad and Luke’s podcast, his Instagram stories, posts etc. And truth be told, the podcast got me through some of my darker times. It was one of the only things I looked forward to coming home from work some days, just to fall into bed, forget about everything and throw on the podcast, and make me laugh out loud, hysterically. As someone who has and still deals with depression and anxiety (not self diagnosed, been on medication for it since I was a teenager), it just kicked me in the gut when I saw that Luke had passed. He’ll never be forgotten. Loved that Fouad, Ben and Joe started a GoFundMe for his family as that was one of the first things that came to my mind once I heard of his passing. So, with that being said, I had a really good check in with Corinne last Thursday. We kept food the same, lowered steps and cardio again. Weight is still creeping up but I’m trying not to let that get to me.
I’m getting silly strong again- all of my lifts in each session since last time I updated here I have progressed on. In weight and reps.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Safety Bar Squat- 112.5kg x 10 ( last week 110kg x10)
Free bar Paused Squat- (100kg x10, 90kg x15) Used my new homemade squat stands!
High Incline DB Press- 25kg x11 (last week 22.5kg x11)
BB Glute Bridge/Hip Thrusts- 175kg x11 with 10 sec iso hold last rep.
BB RDL- 100kg x12So I’ll take this push up in weight as I am getting very strong (for me haha) which makes me very happy. 🙂
SO- I’ve acquired a new second hand bench and an extra 50kg of weights, so I’m able to now load my x2 Full Body sessions much more. Had an epic session yesterday- took nearly 3 hours to finish haha! The loading of spin lock bb’s and db’s are a nightmare. BUT gyms here in Ireland aren’t opening up again until Mid August, and even then there are extreme restrictions still in place. So, I’m taking it upon myself to get as much kit as possible to see me out until all restrictions are eased.
Not sure yet when I’ll be competing, but Amateur Olympia Spain is 16 weeks out, Amateur Olympia with 2Bros is 20 weeks out and Amateur Olympia Portugal is 28 weeks out. We’ll see.
Hope everyone is doing ok physically and mentally through these times. <3
Will attach a few pictures of home garage set up, my 112.5kg squat, and my latest check in photos.
