Just finished my morning rest day cardio. Ball of sweat ????????
Had a decent leg session yesterday- I thought I had only matched last rotations numbers but I actually beat them all! after checking post training. (New logbook so I’m trying to cross over my numbers onto it at the moment)
Food is low – and I’m in awe at how my strength is holding up. Upper body is getting a little weaker but I’m putting that down to my pec problem. Currently have the tens machine going ON IT as I sip my morning coffee.
Quite scared atm because of this coronavirus and that my show will be canceled… genuine fear right now. But, well keep ticking on. I’ll go virus or no virus ????

A less than impressive upper day yesterday.. but I was back home this weekend. And when I’m back home, there is always farm work to be done. A spent the morning/3-4hours cleaning out sheds and foddering cattle and taking care of my horses. So… a lot of upper body work. I was left for trash by the end of the day. And it negatively affected my training session.
I’ve done this so many times in the past, and it’s always lead to a tired, worn out physique. But now that I’m living on my own and have my own life after finishing university and home, I get to decide what’s best for me. And helping out my dad on the farm is just not an option leading into a show anymore. I love helping out on the farm don’t get me wrong. But I have to think about my physique goals at this point in time.
It’s just unnecessary expenditure at this point, taking away from my training sessions.
I’m determined to make this prep/time different as i will not step on stage looking the same.
45mins Cardio dont this morning and it’s a rest day. So off to work shortly and then physio/deep tissue work afterwards. Looking forward to it, but also scared ????
The photos are a comparison of 18 weeks out vs 11 weeks out.
Weight is dropping. I don’t have a scales back home but weighed in at the gym with clothes on at 14:15 at 156lbs which is scary ???? actually said holy shit out loud.
We have yet to add any anabolics to the equation, which is also scaring me.. I don’t want to lose any tissue that I’ve worked for this past 18months.

Wow thank you for your answer. That’s so interesting- recovery seems to be the main focus as I’m sure it must have implications to wee niggles being so agile and flexible as a gymnast.
Thank you again- it’s super interesting to me as I’ve never seen another IFBB fitness pro share their training around their routine. ☺️

Kamara, I’m very interested to hear what your training and rest days/recovery looks like around your fitness/gymnastic routine? Do you do that practice on certain days that you train/don’t train? And do your macros differ on those days also?

My physio session yesterday was INCREDIBLE. The most pain I have been in, in a long time, but damn do I feel like new human. I feel like I’ve been given a new body- one that works ????
Today- my first training session back after the week and HOLY CRAP. I can squat? I can move weights, I can walk around, without pain? This is insane ???? I’m so happy right now. Everything just felt SO good. Movements felt smooth, strong and controlled. I didn’t feel like my joints were going to explode. Hit all my numbers from last rotation and progressed in one exercise so I am

So check in day… it went well-Corinne is happy so I’m very happy. I had a good drop this week in weight so was pleased with that, plus I’m looking a bit tighter too. Counting the w’s every day.
Big push on now for the next couple of weeks but I’m damn excited about it.
Food lowered. Cardio upped. Let’s do this ????
