    I saw the 20 repper on Instagram Clare- unreal! Didn’t know what the squeaking was for a minute until I actually read what you posted ???? Also, loving how open you are about your improvement season shape, which is phenomenal btw..

    So, legs yesterday with the dreaded paused 20 repper.

    I honestly didn’t have high hopes for myself going into yesterday’s session as lower back was still off and my scalene/trap is still causing bother… but… it was… really good? I felt strong, all exercises progressed… I know I shouldn’t say this but I didn’t feel like I was on prep yesterday ..

    Does anyone else feel guilty for not feeling like “they’re on prep” when they are? I do terribly- and it in turn causes anxiety for me..

    Oh, also! I had a posing lesson via FaceTime with Alysha Mills- she’s an IFBB Figure Pro from Canada that’s I’ve followed for a number of years. It was super productive- I really feel like I have my routine locked done now and that I can make adjustments as I peel off the layers of body fat off of this body ????
    Rest day today – must food shop.

    So upper A of Rotation 2 done.
    Progression across all exercises, a rep here and there an extra 1.25kg here and there also.

    Highlights
    – 60kg x8 High Incline BB press (asked for a lift off, which ended up being terrible: never asking that person again!).
    – 62.5kg x4 (my own lift off ???? but I’ve never done that before so PLEASED)
    – 55kg x12 (last time was 52.5kgx12)

    Trap/scalene/back still at me and definitely hindered hitting heavier weights today so its needs must tomorrow after work to get a deep tissue massage SOMEWHERE. Or else someone bury me in a pit of Epsom salts

    Can’t believe January is over.. everyone is saying to me it was so slow but I’m in shock that it’s February like I NEED MORE TIME. Anyway..
    anything exciting planned? I was actually hoping to at some point this month or next to travel to the UK to train at Ultraflex or Kings gym. I also want to see the British show and see what the standard is like competitor wise and what I’ve landed myself into ???? if my schedule allows of course. Sheltered hermit no more?

    So- Lower day today after a nice rest yesterday. Was quite busy at work though. Again, don’t tell Corinne ????

    My lower back was in absolute bits today. I mean very bad. So spent the morning foam rolling, stretching and doing what I could to alleviate it somewhat. Was quite scared honestly looking at the numbers I had to beat today.

    Spent the rest of my morning doing some posing practice and getting meals ready and cleaning the house.

    Progressed all exercises today despite the lower back being in bits and my shoulder niggle- (I need a sports massage badly- will get one done this week)

    Anywho- thought I’d share this 5 week progress photo on here. I’ve shared it on Instagram and people seemed to like it- which is pretty cool 🙂

    5 week difference working with Corinne.
    -All supplementation cut
    -All cardio cut (was cardio everyday)
    – more food
    – 3 rest days instead of 1
    – total overhaul of my programming to a much lower volume style.

    15 weeks out today. Absolutely BUZZING

    Well… here we have it.. my first session where I didn’t progress in every exercise..
    Rack pulls got the better of me today. I was absolutely fuming. Last time I got 150kg by 12, 160kg x7. And this evening, I failed 155kg on the 9th rep. My lower back was having none of it. Dropped the weight, went again, failed on the 5th rep. I contemplated dropping the weight again and just “rep it out” but that serves no one no good. I had to just walk away from it.

    Could have been down to a few things to be honest. Lower back not 100%, a shoulder/scalene/trap niggle too. Plus the BUJILLION STEPS I had to do at work today before my training session. Also, stress is high due to car problems. I’m not making excuses though. I failed that set. I failed that exercise and I’m truly disappointed in myself.

    Progressed with all other exercises though. One positive I guess.
    High incline Smith press 75kg x8 (last time 72.5 x8) still felt my shoulder at me throughout the session.

    Despite a great day and a good check in it just feeling shit about myself and those rack pulls. I was mentally preparing for them all day.

    No change to food. Steps have been limited so I AM NOT TO MOVE ANYMORE. Lol. 11k training days. 13k rest days. I won’t say what I’ve accrued already step wise today for fear Corinne sees this ????????

    @lara-tasharofi yes I am doing a pro qualifier in Spain in May 15/16th. As I’m Irish I can’t compete in regional shows, so international pro qualifiers are my options right now. Hopefully will do the Amateur Olympia in June also ???? ????

    Oh wow- has your cardio been higher or lower in the past? Or much the same? Your conditioning at 5/6 weeks out is INSANE.

    @k yeah I can’t compete in regional shows!

    And yes, I’ve actually never been on a proper holiday so I’m hoping to take in some of the scenery after the show for a couple of days ☺️
