@lara-tasharofi yes I am doing a pro qualifier in Spain in May 15/16th. As I’m Irish I can’t compete in regional shows, so international pro qualifiers are my options right now. Hopefully will do the Amateur Olympia in June also 🙂 ????

@jenny it was thank you! Definitely horrific – but, I always come out of the set smiling, despite the tears ????
As for DB SLDLs- I usually have the DBs by my side at the beginning of the movement, and as I do the eccentric, I move them more in front of me. On the concentric I repeat the same backwards, but the DBs usually end up at a more 45 degree angle. Taking a deep breath at this top of the movement also before doing eccentric again. I’ll try attach a (terrible) drawing of where my DBs end up during the movement ????

So just up after having my coffee and breakfast on this very cold rest day morning.
Had a really good lower session yesterday, despite the gym being packed. Didn’t finish until 9pm but needs must when working full time.
Progressed across all movements (even though I accidentally did an extra set at lighter weight in paused pendulum because my tired ass read my logbook wrong ????) BUT- we did the working sets, and then the dreaded paused 20 repper. I swear to god these take my soul everytime. Up by 5kg and matched reps last week.
Finally got a respectable 11 reps on my paused toe raised DB RDLs – they actually felt very good last night! I usually feel my lower back give a little towards the end of the set but yesterday they felt SOLID. 45kgx10,x11.
Leg press up too- although I was looking like a tomato about to explode ????????
I’m just refusing to not progress while off cycle.
Glad of the rest day today but hoping to get out for a walk after work to get some fresh air- not used to being stuck in an office the majority of the day!

I would PAY to see the look on that Starbucks server. I would have done the same thing. ????
Question, what are you using to add weight to your frog pumps Jenny? I have them in my programming too ????

I remember getting posing lessons online with Phoebe- she’s such a lovely person. And excellent at coaching posing.

Yes, but what would the rest do the session been like if you has continued that set? Would you have been able to finish the entire session with a lower back injury? Would you be able to fully execute the rest of your prep if you had “grinded out” that particular set?
No one wants to see an injured Corinne. One injured strength freak is enough ????????

Good morning –
A good Lower A session yesterday. Back to Rotation 1 again. This will be my 3rd time back to Rotation 1. Having a little anxiety about the numbers I have to beat but doing my best to turn that into fuel.
PRs on Smith squat and leg press yesterday which I was very happy with.
Smith squat up 10kg on my 12repper (got 13) and up 2.5kg on my 8 repper (got 9). Knees were wobbling afterwards ????A couple of my lifting friends were at the gym yesterday so it was a nice atmosphere to be around.
Oh! I also had to add a 5kg DB to the adductor Machine today! I think that’s what I’m most proud of ???? it’s a pretty shoddy adductor Machine -only going up to 65kg, BUT STILL. Felt like an absolute badass with my 5kg dumbbell.
Anyways, Upper A today. Slight drop in weight so pleased with that too.

Oh goodness I get SO PEDANTIC about the type of cutlery I use and bowls/plates/Tupperware.
So I sympathize on the loss of your bowl Clare ???? but when this happens me, I’m like, “a new, improved bowl for the upcoming season- hopefully it will correlate with a new and improved physique.”
