How is your injury now Clare? Do you still “feel” it so to speak, or do you feel like it’s fully healed? And what’s helped aid your recovery? ☺️

Hey Kate. I feel fine now. The acute pain went after a week, but I wasn’t able to walk for a couple of days. The injury is hard to describe as I didn’t feel it in my lower back, it was more deep in the pelvis and I felt a pull as I dipped my hips too low on my last rep of heavy deadlifts.
Even though I wasn’t in pain, I still felt a weakness and vulnerable feeling in that area for weeks after.
It’s only now, 2 months later that I feel ready to deadlift again.
    Things I’ve learnt/done ..
    1. Listen to my body. I was overdue a deload and ignored the signs. My body was tired going into the session and my focus was poor.
    2. Rest. I took a week off training completely as any kind of bracing initially caused pain.
    3. Once I was ready to train again, selected exercises that caused NO pain at all and avoided deadlifts completely.
    4. Doubled up on dosages of CURE-COMING and JOIN-IN daily
    5. Saw a Sports therapist for soft tissue treatment to encourage blood flow and healing to the area.. when I was comfortable being touched without pain!

That’s fantastic that you’re feeling so much better now within in a relatively short period of time ( I say short because it sounds/sounded like horribly painful and serious injury).

Taking notes ???? thank you for answering ☺️

So today’s sesh was a so so one!
Went up on press! As follow:
    243×12 253×12 243×20
.. I wanted to hit more load on press and I did it! Shaking shaking! …The bridge was a kind of joke! Felt strongly on my hams! Had some cramps too… first time ever! So for now I am adding some pink salt here and there…some stretch too! And we’ll see!
Started posing and I will work consistently on! Now that calories are quite high and I don’t “cardio” yet allow me to dedicate more time, energy and focus! Heels and socks ready! ????
Some days are more LOL than others…and today was a weird one! Even I hit my new pb on press, cramps on my hams were totally LOL’ING! …
My new whey got my belly approval! Ahah Which is a great news! …and the glutamine taste is hidden from the vanilla flavour! However Very very sweety! …
Went for karting yday! It was fab! I m officially a tomboy!
Tomorrow is upper body day and I m going to visit kingsgym Dalston! Just looking for a proper posing room! ????
    And then we party! X
    Lying hamstring curl
    Smith squat
    Paused Leg press
    Glute bridge
    Abductor + frogs
    Adductor on the cables
    Hanging leg raises
    STRETCH
    Standing calf raise

Ohh girl I’m glad to hear someone else with dairy issues has had success with the new JP Whey! I’m intolerant to dairy also, but waiting for mine to come still. Hoping my digestive system agrees with it too!

You’re killing by the way ????????

It looked absolutely insane Corinne ????
Question: how long did into your lifting career/journey did it take to reach such high levels of strength?

You’re looking absolutely insane Rhea ???? did your strength suffer at this time out in previous preps?

    Hey Katie!
No not really, my strength usually remains well however sometimes I struggle with mental blocks on movements which is what I used to get as a diver when going for a dive which is really weird! But the past two sessions I’ve managed to break the cycle and push hard in my sessions ????✨

Oh that’s awesome- I’m hoping with my prep for this year that my strength doesn’t falter, as it has done in the past. I’m sure Corinne won’t let that happen ????
I totally get you on the mental blocks at times. Really having to focus and concentrate in the lead up to and during my sessions has helped.
SO CLOSE TO ARNOLDS IM SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU SHINE

Lower A yesterday of Rotation 2 and I am actually quite sore after it!

All lifts up in numbers very happy with that. BUT, I went into my Topset of hack Squat and failed my first rep. I was absolutely livid. Got out, set it up again with the same weight, went for a walk around the gym, psyched myself up and hit that ish again. Got my 8 reps and failed in the 9th. 3pps. F yes.

That was a “first call outs” session.

Sore today- surprised at being sore after these sessions, with them being such low volume, but it just goes to show the intensity of the sessions. Very happy.

Upper A of Rotation 2 going down today. Excited ☺️

Holy crap that’s a lot of food ????????

Haha I know I’m not complaining but my stomach is ready for a diet! Hope your training is going well x[/quote]
Hahaha I agree- I think improvement season is more difficult than a prep. Pushing food at times is quite difficult. It’s going great thank you- hope you’re feeling better 🙂 would actually love to see another training video on here of you! X

Glad of the rest day yesterday, because my hamstrings were killing me ????

Upper B today which included prs all round.
70kg x9 on Incline Smith Press – very happy with that 🙂

My first check in with Corinne too and she was happy, so therefore, I am happy. Here’s to an amazing week ahead ☺️

Lower B today was a success, but my god – It took my soul ????????

Very happy with how strength is at the moment- felt SUPER strong today. Still getting used to all this food.

I’m going into my training sessions with the mindset of,
“Well, you’re rested, you’re fueled up- why tf can you not get better today?”

Glad of another rest day tomorrow- nye chilling at home with some Netflix and book reading ????

    Happy New Years ☺️

Second day down and I am starting to realize that the amount of food I’m being asked to eat is no joke- I’m eating ALL day it feels like ???? I’m not used to this much food.

BUT… its lead to great training sessions. Second day down of the plan, upper body. Did things I’ve never done before, quite pleased and surprised with myself. Trained with a few old friends that I haven’t seen altogether in a couple of years. One of them pushed me in my training today which I’m very thankful for- he knew it was in me when I was scared of picking up certain weights ???? ever look at something (weight wise) and be like, “Never touched/done them before…????” ??

    High incline press 27.5kg x 6, followed by 25kg x13, then 22.5kg 15

First day of the new plan set out by Corinne down.

Lower/Upper split which is new to me. Also, 4 training days and 3 rest days per week- this is VERY new ???? strange, but in a good way I hope ???? recovery has always been my biggest down fall.

Lower A today and I never shouted “F*%K” so many times in one session ????

First day of new diet also- my also first time with a meal plan- very strange indeed but also in a good way. It’s providing me a lot of structure and timing, which I love and know I can thrive off of.

All cardio cut out for the time being and seeing what we can do unassisted for the next 8 weeks- scared honestly but I know it’s necessary 🙂 here’s to making 2020 the best year ever 🙂 ????

So today I wrote out my 2020 goals and they’re supposed to scare the shit out of you. And that they do! BUT I know I’m going to give my everything to complete every single one of them. They range from personal, physical, business, and even onto helping others. If I complete them, it will help me and many others become better. Of course, taking that pro card is right up there…
What’s your top goal for 2020?

Hey Joe- love following along with your log and Instagram 🙂

In terms of fitness, I want to be the strongest I have ever been, hit crazy numbers in all my lifts. And also, I want to earn my IFBB figure pro card. I’m just as of this week in the wise hands of Corinne, so I’m sure I’ll attain some of the scary stuff I’ve written out 🙂
