Check in Day & Push Day
Happy with check in still at 60.4 so .1 up from last week. Sessions have all been good and strong, all meals have gone in a little easier than last week so that’s a positive. Looking at a show the first weekend in August which will be in Tampa
Session was strong today I added an extra 10kg to my incline chest for good numbers (session is attached)
Tonight I’m going to my works Christmas party I’m excited for the food hahaha!

Hi Megan,
I just wanted to say I love following a long with your log. I’m currently transitioning from bikini to figure too and it’s so nice and refreshing and relieving to see you do it so well! Anyways, I hope you’re having a lovely holiday season and wishing you the best for your 2020 season ????
Hey Kate,
Thank you very much, really enjoying the process. How are you finding it? When are you thinking of competing? X
I’m loving it to be honest. I never thought I’d be so happy with being in an improvement season for so long (November ’18 to current). I’m loving being and feeling strong and making progress with my lifts/logbook.

I’m hoping to compete may/June time. I saw from your previous posts that you are thinking of August time? I’m so excited to follow along ????

ooo I didn’t enjoy it one bit haha – its not the weather or the season its the phase im in so its ok.
ALSO – I was meant to be travelling down to Essex today to see my friends but I had to cancel..I woke up today with a really bad tum ???? I like never have stomach issues….im completely gutted tbh,..I miss them ????
kinda explains why the last 2 sessions have been a little low too…clearly been lingering …after legs on Monday I had a weird discomfort in my lower abdomen but I thought I may have pulled it a little when bracing for the squats….i was starting to think it was odd…not that mystery is solved too
@christoper thank you – weve had good feedback which surprised me….im really pleased it was enjoyed! ive never read a book that provides experience, and i feel that that is now the element that creates clarity about this process…there is literature on energy balance of course, Uni of Birmingham and Manchester hav done a lot of current work in this field

Oh gosh sorry to hear your plans were messed up and that you’re feeling un well Corinne. But at least there was reason to your sessions being less than what you wanted. Hope you’re feeling better soon ????.

Hey everyone! Had an amazing push session today!! I had to slightly modify a few things due to the gym not being fully equipped!! But tomorrow is leg day and I am going to visit powerhouse gym here in Florida!! Super excited xx

Love following along already Rhea! Love seeing you push so hard everyday. Your passion puts a smile on my face. So jealous of you being America ???? I hope you’re having the time of your life ???? what’s your favourite thing about the States?
Aw thank you so much Kate!! I’m so grateful I can share my journey with you!
America is amazing! It’s my final day today!! I was originally meant to be here for 2 weeks but I cut it short before I came out because of starting a prep!! Even though I can get everything I need out here, it through routine slightly as certain things are different!
My favourite thing about the states is how friendly people are and accepting! Alsoooooooo my favourite thing is there are always dogs in the gyms hahah!!
Hope you have an amazing day xx
Oh my gosh that’s so exciting! I didn’t realize you were starting a prep so soon!

And yes, I totally agree with those statements- if I could move there I would in a heart beat.

And you too! I hope you’ve had the most amazing time and that continue to do so 🙂 ????

please do ask, its nice to know im not just talking to myself haha
I feel no different at all tbh
a lot of the time I think its psychological….tell someone they are in a deficit and they think I MUST BE WEAK NOW! I don’t think that way….I only expect to see a drop in strength from about 4 weeks out, that will be a body weight thing mainly
yesterday I was 161.4 – Jordan has asked me for a once a week check in just to keep tabs
so 7.6lbs down just with a super minor adjustment (plus a drop in fulness from assistance)
kcals are still good….so everything is great really
(rest – 2155…..training – 2845….leg – 3334)

Also, I TOTALLY agree that people automatically assume that they are weaker when they are in a deficit. I’m like, “stfu and stop being stupid.” Excuses ????

Definitely not talking to yourself ????

Thanks for your reply! That’s very interesting. I’m hoping with my change in training style this year and everything else that I won’t see a drop in strength either until around the same time.
Before, strength would diminish at 6 week out mark, unassisted.

Looking forward to the next video/update etc ????

Hey guys

so let me spill for a little bit
truth is at current being the back end if the year and a busy year at that
everything now is pretty quiet and mellow
what I mean is nothing is or will be set in stone till I decode on the real plan for next season
the one goal I have atm is to grow. grow and to keep my gear low for a while
simply my objective is to push food up and get strong
getting strong and coincidently getting bigger
I don’t do anything crazy right now
there is not a super strict plan. there is no crazy gear cycles
food is set but if I want more I will have more
really
…. right now is about enjoyment and figuring out What is next.. without presurising myself or making myself mentally ill
I’m aware of what I need to do to be better . Very aware and knkw thst my decisions matter now
right now I’m training with Luke and in just soaking it all in
I’m committing myself to bodybuding yet again even more than ever before
I’m financially worse off for traveling , who knows kings may even stop paying me as I’m seen training at MW with Luke more now…
truth is .. i sit alone and contemplate my path every single day and the truth is.. ice never been happier than now or more sureas to who I am and what I wish to achieve
I’ll happily sacrifice money..and time it means I can pursue my dream and be around others who feel the very same
in time I belive it will work our even better for me for making such choices now.. I am a man with faith .. I go by what my mother would say to do and I am cintent I my choices in life atm
I’m loving it and for the first time in for ever todayI droveto the Gym and felt well.. my wellbeing felt like it has never before.. can’t explain it.. it was like I was expecting the usual.. slight headache or anxiety… or overthinking.. as those mentioned are relatively normal for me… yet I felt clear.. the clarity was crazy.. I feel so alive and fresh.. something tells me these changes are bigand will lead to grest things
I just wanted to share that with you all.
know I am known for rambling on at time but it’s only because I wish to share the real me

Thank you so much for sharing James! I’m sure everyone here and in RL only wants the best for you. And as I’ve always said, whatever makes you happy is literally all that matters. Just listened to the podcast last night and it was incredible to get such an insight into you and your career/past/personal etc.

Wishing you all the best for the rest of the year and the next ????

Hi Corinne,

Nice to hear you had such a good session. How are you feeling now after coming off cycle and with the drop in food? Have you noticed anything different in your performance/recovery or mood?

Excuse me if I’m out of line asking, I’m just curious 🙂

I would avoid all exercises which cause pain because it will just make the recovery process longer. If nothing is possible without pain maybe just do some low intensity cardio to maintain a decent physique. Keep your nutrition clean and optimize your recovery

Thank you very much Michael, I appreciate the feedback. ????????

Hey Katie. I feel your pain. I recently tore a muscle in my lower back and had to have some time off training. These things happen and it’s really tough to accept, especially when lifting is such a big part of your life and enjoyment. However, what’s done is done so it’s now a case of focusing on your recovery and not doing anything that will hold you back any longer. Taking a few weeks rest is nothing in the grand scheme of things if it means you can make a full recovery. I would stick to your rest day calories with plenty of nutritious foods, keep as mobile as you can with gentle walks to increase blood flow, use heat packs on the area, consider supplementing with TrainedbyJPNutrition JOIN-IN and CURE-COMING twice a day and listen to your body. You’ll know when you’re ready to get back into the gym again, so take it a day at a time and eventually you’ll be able to build the weights back up.
At the moment you probably feel very alone and that you’ve lost everything. I completely understand, but you’re not the only one going through an injury and won’t be the last, so stay positive. I’ve written about what I’ve recently been through and steps I’ve taken to get back to recovery on my log if you want to take a read ????

Oh my goodness Clare thank you so much for taking the time to write this ????

Honestly I do feel lost and alone and not knowing myself without my training. And, since I’ve been working from switching from bikini to figure this past year, I just fear that I’ll lose everything I’ve worked for. I know muscular atrophy doesn’t work that quickly, but it’s just my head being insane and stupid.

I’m about to go read that now, and thank you so much for you advice and kind words. I appreciate more than you know.

Wishing you all the best with your recovery also. ☺️

Hey Kate. As Tim says it’s best to take the hit now and rest up. It sucks I know but these obstacles inevitably come up for all of us from time to time. The best thing I have found is the quicker you can accept the fact you are having the 4 weeks off the easier it is to rest your mind and not stress about the situation. Use the rest, keep your nutrition on point and come back with an even bigger desire to smash the goal of competing next may/June. Wish you a speedy recovery ????

Hey Jimmy,

Thank you very much. It’s reassuring to hear from you guys that what I need to do is rest. A minor set back for a major set up for the future.

Thank you again.

Hi Kate,
Personally I would take the advice of the medical experts. You could reduce to rest day calories and potentially do cardio that won’t aggravate the area but I’d certainly rest and recover. Better to take a few weeks out and then come back fully recovered than push on, poor training, and the whole process take months to recover and potentially do long lasting damage.
I had an operation last January and couldn’t train upper body for 8 weeks as advised by surgeon so I followed their orders. I was still able to compete in October and place 2nd at British Finals in class 1 debut. Basically what I’m saying is don’t worry about competing, 4 weeks rest now will not have any impact.

its only possible to enter if you have placed top 3 in a pro show…so the standard is super high….and I am going to be hard pushed to even get a call out (not trying to look for comments here…its just a fact…lets not ignore it haha) im fine with that….im sure itll only make me hungry to improve even more
rest day today….I went to a Victorian Christmas market with my mum, sister and niece…was a really nice day – ive worn Christmas socks today, so its officially started for me now haha

So today is rest day for me since starting my new plan!! Let’s just say WOW!! Things are feeling really good! And can’t wait to train again tomorrow!!
Though as it is rest day today, I’m going to try and get some more work done on my coaching business as well as getting things ready for the week ahead!
Whats everyone up to today?? Xx

Is your training/style of training different now since you’ve started with working with Jordan?
