Seeing as I’m doing all the posts today (lol) I’ll update my training.
Today, Upper A. Waking zombie status.
Starting off with high incline smith press. Up 1 rep. Wtf. Back off up weight and reps matched. Dafuq.Same with next exercise – up weight and reps. Shoulder press machine.
What
Is going
ON.All of the rest of my exercises progressed. I literally cannot believe it. But it’s there in writing. And video. Being extra f-ing meticulous with form, as to not only standardise, but this close to show I’m not going to dog out reps.
Very happy. But the oxymoron of feeling guilty/not right that training is going this well.
3mins leg on stair master. Food shop, eat, drive home. Prep food. Help dad with farm- we are cutting our last field of silage before the winter. Driving tractors and what not lol

Had physio/deep tissue on my legs Friday so still suffering the consequences of that plus legs yesterday too.
2 weeks out and still progressing my log book is just alien to me and makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong. Don’t get me wrong, I feel like shit, but the fact that I’m still making progressions has me feeling guilty.@katiecshallbe_

Right, so where do I begin ?
Haven’t logged here properly in over a week as my mental game has been completely killing me. Prep goggles are in full swing, so much so I was thinking of pulling out of both the Ben Weider and the Alicante show. This close to a show, I can never think logically. And from past experiences with my last coach, he led me to believe I could never get stage lean again without a certain drug, that nobody should take. My. biggest down fall my believing in myself.
Anyways… here’s this morning. Food was lowered again on Thursdays check in and cardio increased.
Flying to the UK the 28th to just get over there, settle my nerves, get to know the area where I’ll be staying for the show.
I must say, the community that Jordan and Corinne have created on here and in real life is something spectacular. Their judge of character has really shone through with my “stressed out competitor” thread, where so many of the athletes came through and rationalised my fears. I honestly cannot thank you enough. Kept me from doing some stupid things x

Hi Kate, first of all I´m glad you´re already feeling better, it´s really difficult to be rational in the last weeks of prep, EVERYONE here has been there!!! please don´t let the pressure to be perfect ruin the last days of prep, I know it´s easy to say but always keep in mind why you´re doing this and how far you have come. you got this!!!!

Aside from that set which I will take my revenge next time on , it was good

Pendulum paused x 5 ( 8 seconds a rep )

Super happy overall.
Update on protein bars , choc caramel and dark choc raspberry will be our 2 launching flavours , as I said , gluten free , diary free , 20g protein – not a single other bar on the market that is all 3 of those. Lots that are one or the other but not all 3! This has been a long time coming because I refused to compromise on quality but equally needed the taste to be superb ! That’s why it’s taken so long we we have tried many manufactures. Literally can’t wait to get these in your hands and you be like, holy shit these taste good ? . This will be every pre workout for me going in as a staple and every pre bed meal_________________________________________

Hey Kate, do you have a coach? This is a feeling I’m sure a lot of us get. If your prepping alone like I have many times then it can be very mentally taxing. However if you do have a coach definitely put 100% faith in them and follow orders to the T and you will be ready on the day!

I am indeed in the best of hands ?☺️ and I need a kick up the bum at times. It’s just when you’ve been with one coach for so long, and then start a new journey with a new coach in a totally different category, my mind starts playing games on me at time.

Looking at your check in you will very much be ready
As a competitor you’ll never feel ready towards the end of prep because as you say “prep brain” but this is where your up most trust must come in your coach and just enjoy the ride ?Thank you so much Meg ? just these irrational thoughts had me thinking some stupid stuff tbh. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My trust indeed is very much so locked in and I have woken up today with new sense of “let’s get this ish..”

@kamara-graham I wish I could say the same but I feel as though the more shows I do, the higher my expectations for myself rise, and thus more pressure- for me, it hasn’t gotten easier. ?
But thank you so much for your kind words – they really have eased my crazy prep head. I actually got some sleep last night and feel like I look like somewhat of a competitor now ?? x

Honestly stick to the plan listen to your coach and trust the process ☺️ it’s definitely prep brain we all get it but the worst thing you can do is doubt yourself and dwell on it!
Just stick to the plan, keep your head down and work! Like Clare said we are never satisfied that’s the fun in the sport we always want to be better do just give prep your all go out there and most of all enjoy it ☺️xx_________________________________________
