I’ve honestly been scrolling less and less leading into the show because of the above reasons.
Agreed, the true nature of us is that we are never 100% happy. Perhaps maybe for a milli second on show day if a first place is awarded to us, but even then haha.
I promised myself and Miss Ice Queen from day one- what you say, I do. I truly believe that. At times I’ve wanted to do more, eat less, etc.
My training going sessions are still going so well, (although feeling utter shit at times/spaced out etc lol) this close to the show- it makes me feel bad/guilty, like I’m doing something wrong.

Honestly, you’re doing fine. Just keep going… and don’t do any more for the fear of not doing enough. Your coach knows what you need to do.
Chill and enjoy the experience and don’t put any pressure on yourself.

Hey Kate,
It’s a horrible feeling when you don’t feel ready I’m currently feeling the same. It is literally making sure your hitting everything you need to be doing eg. Steps/Cardio/Food prep/Posing
If you have a coach brilliant they are the ones who will be able to tell you if you are ready or not, best seeing photos to see if you are. If your not ready in time it’s ok not to do the show but it may be your prep brain saying that your not ready especially if you have coached yourself as we are very critical of ourselves most of the time!

Thank you Jade – you honestly have no idea how much that means to me that you took time out of your day to reply. I really do appreciate it.
I do have a coach, but I don’t want to bother her with my prep brain as I feel like she isn’t my therapist of that makes sense. But I know she wouldn’t let me step on stage unless I was ready.
Literally doing whatever I’m told to do, with wanting to do more if it’s even possible (it’s been a long tough draining prep this entire year.) I’m sure you understand too by the sounds of it.
You are looking phenomenal by the way and I cannot wait to witness your amazingness in Spain 🙂 ? x

I quit my corporate job 2 weeks ago 🙂 life is too short not to be happy/doing something you truly love.

I dunno, I think if I keep trying to do more things , I will probably have a mental breakdown soon , but at some point down the line it’s going to be something that will likely happen if I keep expressing my annoyance with kit made by people that clearly don’t fucking lift lol

Totally understandable. Perhaps a TrainedbyJP limited edition collaboration series with said manufacturer when HOPEFULLY our world comes back to some sense of normality.

Well…. another refeed today.. a LOT more carbs. Quite afraid actually tbh haha.

So Corinne changes up my programming as all numbers last week either stalled or regressed which had me depressed AF for a few days.
Happy to report the new program is brutally lovely. Very similar but just differing rep ranges, Reid iced volume and removal of some lower back loading exercises.
Had another big drop in weight. 144.8 last check in post refeed. Today 139 ?

So refeed done. Did it’s bits. 2 days later and I’m looking the best I’ve looked so far this prep.
Having a difficult time brining in the condition in my lower half- (aren’t we all) but after watching everyone competing this weekend I’m determined more than ever to bring the best and gnarliest conditioning I can possibly bring to the Ben Weider stage.
