Yesterday i rested as i still wasnt feeling 100% but it seemed to be a 48 hour bug as today i am feeling a lot better. I am going to retrain legs today as the session i had a few days back was pretty naff. I won’t repeat squats but i will do hip press and one other main quad push movement, maybe a leg press or the swing squat. Hopefully that way if im still not feeling 100% or as strong as usual i can still get a good session in without it impacting my session.

Yesterday was a pretty rough day for me. woke up with a really aching back not from working out more like flu like ache. That was followed with a migraine during the morning, i felt slightly better during the afternoon so headed to the gym but started sweating badly and feeling sick during the first exercise. I cut my session short as i was getting light headed and was incredibly weak waited for max to finish his session before heading home. I had a pretty rough night but weirdly feel loads better today. I still have a back ache and a slight headache but everything else is back to normal.

There is a few nasty bugs that are going round the gym right now so probably knowing my immune system i picked it up from there but hopefully it was just a 24/48 hour thing.

My favourite are heel elevated smith squats in the cybex smith machine. Those are unbeatable

Rest day for me today, i have a busy evening and later we have planned to go out to a nice restaurant with friends for the evening as we are all really busy or in different countries for the rest of May. The place looks very fancy and the food looks very good, usually i go for quantity over quality as i don’y like feeling hungry after i have been out to eat but i think it will be a great time and the food we do have is going to be very well done. I had a look at the menu and there lobster, snails and octipus look very interesting. Luckily i have my meal prep left over so if the food doesn’t fill me up i can dig into that haha.

Busy week ahead getting ready to leave for the UK on Friday, Looking forward to seeing the whole JP gang at the fitness expo in Manchester next weekend. It should be awesome fun.

Great glute session today. Switched around my exercises so I could focus on hip thrusts without fatigued. I did abductor to warm up with and then worked upto 5pps for 3 sets of 8-10 reps. Then backed down to 3pps for 3 sets of 15 reps. My glutes were fried after that. The rest of the session consisted of hyper extentions, glute cable kick backs, glute machine kickbacks and calves.

Another day adhering to our sleep/day schedule and its been so good, we are using our time so much better and have a lot more time to work, train in peace and have some more time to ourself at the end of the day. Not to mention getting a solid amount of sleep.

I trained legs today, more hamstring focused than quad focused with 4 hamstring exercises and 1 quad exercise. The gym is expanding again and bringing in even more kit so that should be exciting to try out when it arrives.

Rest day for me today, nothing too exciting, worked, tidied, walked the dog. I attempted to go down to the pool and do some sun bathing (shockingly was the 3rd time in nearly 2 years ive been down there as i am not a fan of sun bathing) i only lasted about 30 minutes before i called it a day. Tomorrow i have a glutes and shoulder session.

Started a new routine today. Up at 6.30, work till 9.30. Get ready for the gym and leave at 10.30. arrive for 11am (ish), train till 1.30pm back home for 2pm.

We did this for the first time today and it was amazing, there was minimal traffic both ways, the gym was so much quieter and it wasn’t too hot in the gym. Before it would take us anywhere from 35 mins- hour to get back from the gym due to traffic, the gym would be rammed and were wasting so much time standing around + having so many people there meant we were being distracted multiple times a session. The heat around 2/3pm too was its hottest and that is when we were starting our sessions so from now on we are getting out the gym around that time so we can train the best we can in the coolest part of the day.

Then we are left with the rest of the day which is a great feeling. Can work, walk the dog and have some time left over towards the end of the night to unwind a little bit. It feels like it is going to be a lot more productive this way.

Back and shoulders day for me today, worked on some deadlifts, lat pull downs, shoulder laterals, shoulder press machine and some calves. I am training deadlifts sparingly at the minute, i am trying to keep my strength at a good level but not go over the top on the training. Yes the goal is to get a crazy big deadlift at some point but with the amount of traveling this year i havent yet found a good ‘run up’ time to get started for it. Right now we know my ‘”off cycle” pull is 230kg with no deadlifting training for 6 months so i am not at all worried that i cannot progress that to what it needs to be when the time comes.

For today i just did 200kg for 4 sets 6 reps.

Very small incisions, that heal incredibly fast, no need for peptides.

Happy Sunday! I love sundays, they are a rest day for me and a day where i usually get a load of work done and stay in. it sounds boring but it’s actually quite relaxing and enjoyable! i usually buy a coffee.. or two and catch up on face time with a few friends and family across the world as well!

Yesterday was glute session for me, i slightly trapped something in my back the day before that on the squat machine but it was feeling a lot better yesterday so training glutes was fine and it didn’t hurt at all! i will be back to squatting tomorrow so it hasnt disrupted my training at all which is good.

It’s getting a lot hotter here now so we are starting to train earlier in the day around 12 instead of 2pm. We are now having to take Mr Chow for a walk really late in the evening around 9/10pm when its the coolest!

Rest day for me today and very glad about it because I think I’ve trapped a nerve In my back caused from going heavy on my first time back on squat machine. Slightly shocked because the movement felt so good and nothing felt off but I believe it’s the positioning on the machine on the top of my back compressing it in a different way than usual.

So I rested it a bit this morning and thought moving it would probably do it some good so did 30 mins on the treadmill and it did in fact help loosen it.

I’ll probably head down tomorrow morning and do the same again if it’s as bad again tomorrow.
