    Between some technical problems and 24 hours of traveling it’s been a few days since I’ve managed to get on here. I am back in Dubai now and after a much needed rest and day of recovery I’m feeling a better than I was.

    I had such an awesome time in Miami and at the festival. It was such a blast but I am very glad to be back now and to get back into routine. I lost 5kg whilst being away so goal will be to hit my macros and training and keep them on point for the next 8 weeks while I have some new goals being set.

    Tomorrow will be the first day back training I’m looking forward to that full session

    Crazy few days at ultra this week. Miami is such a great place to visit. This morning I decided to head to a local gym and get a workout in to get my body moving and feel really good after doing that. Just hit some glutes, some light quads and actually did a bit of shoulders and back too.

    Haven’t been eating a crazy amount but I have been getting around 160/180 protein so that’s a bonus. I am very excited to get back and get into some heavy lifting on Tuesday.

    Could be a sign of estrogen imbalance, do you have any symptoms of estrogen being high or low? Mainly low

    A very quiet day for me today! Got in from the festival at 7am and only slept until 12pm. i am getting an early night to catch up with sleep but my day was pretty productive considering. I always lose weight when i go to raves, so to make sure that i’m not relying on fast food i always do a shop before hand. Here in the US they have a load of easy cook meals called ‘healthy choice’ and some of them have a fair amount of protein in. I also buy protein bars, protein drinks and bring my TBJP whey with me to top up. I am not too fussed about what i eat during the down time i have (its only 2/3 times a year at most) but i like to get my protein in and try and keep my calories a little higher than usual as im on my feet for a minimum of 6/8 hours.

    Headed for a nice walk earlier around Miami, the place where i am staying is really beautiful and has a lot of nice restaurants and shops. That help wake me up a bit so i could work for a solid 5 hours and now time for me to get an early night. Tomorrow morning i plan to hit a local gym and get a lower body pump.

    A really busy few days and other than a short glutes session yesterday morning before leaving Orlando to travel to Miami, there won’t be much on the cards for training over the next few days. I touched down in Miami around 3pm yesterday and went straight over to Miami beach to shoot with a super cool photographer out here. Its the first shoot ive done ‘off season’ i feel like it went amazingly, i love the content we grabbed and felt super confident too! i feel i will spend the next few days letting you know how i have have fun and enjoy my time away from the gym but still to some extent stay reliable and on track. This evening is a bad one as we are heading out for 11pm and the line up finishes at 5am.. not ideal but i plan to enjoy it and looking forward seeing some friends!

    Yep putting it in your suitcase in preloaded syringes will be no issue, I’d recommend doing that

    Awesome day today, so I actually deadlifted. I know shock horror! I’ve not deadlifted since the summer and pretty much since I lifted 275kg. Today I was with my friend Bryce and her work team and we decided to throw together a deadlift challenge with them all. Probably not a great way to break the ice but I actually came second! I surprised myself and topped out at 230kg after not lifting for half a year and being off cycle. Very pleased with that but I have to say I think I’m going to ache tomorrow 🥲 Its an awesome starting point to almost test out my current max though.

    The rebound effect with only increase your estrogen levels to what is would have been on trt and no ai.

    If you’re having issues, you need to adjust your trt protocol. Reduce dosage or inject more frequently perhaps

    Many factors will play out in your recovery, not just your log book numbers. Mood, digestion, sleep quality, injury rates etc. You will know intrinsically whether or not you have adequate recovery or not, because when you don’t you just feel shit.

    Didn’t have a great sleep last night but had and pretty jam packed day today! woke up way too early and decided to get up as i couldn’t sleep, firstly went to get a starbucks and here in the US they are SO much better! Then my friends took me to one of their two gyms, this one had a machine to measure bone density, BF, lean mass and so on! was a pretty awesome piece of kit it was called a Dexa body scan Machine. It’s primary purchase is to measure bone density and mine came out looking pretty good! I was in the 96th Centile which is pretty much at the highest range you can get! My BF measured at 21.8% which is where i thought it would be, i actually guessed 23% before doing it and my lean lbs came out at 143.3lbs. All it all it was awesome to see where i am sitting at the peak of my off season!

    We then went for brunch and im currently doing some work before hitting legs and glutes in my friends gym which is kitted out with some of the coolest things!

    A day of traveling today, up at 6am to do some work and finish packing my bags and now sat on the plane waiting for take off. I’m heading to Orlando for a few days before traveling to Miami for the majority of my stay. I’m staying with one of my friends who has an awesome gym set up so I’m really excited to train legs there!

    A lovely day for me today, I met up with two friends for coffee and another free friends this evening for dinner and went and visited a friend during her work shift. Today was very much oriented around trying to see some familiar faces before I set off to Orlando tomorrow.

    Excited for another trip round the US.

    Those on their first cycle usually react quite drastically, and can gain muscle tissue even when in a deficit. – as you become more advanced your ability to do this reduces. The only way you’ll know how well you respond is doing it and finding out for yourself

    Currently in the taxi on the way back from the gym. Late session for me and I would be lying if I was said I was wanting to train today. Jet lag was a pain in the ass. Up at 3am and then hourly after that until i decided to get up. Then didn’t get around to eating and heading to the gym until 6:30 at which point we got stuck in a hours worth of traffic getting out of Manchester. Luckily I was greeted at EP jungle with a preworkout, monster and some water and which was amazing hospitality and I had a pretty great session in terms of how well I could actually function. It was 12am midnight when I started training and I’ve not adjusted to the time yet so was a difficult one. I got on with it though and smashed out 4 working sets at 120kg x 15 on squats with some back downs on 100kg and 80kg for 20 reps, leg press, leg extension, adductor and calves.

    Was a shorter and more condensed session but for the job done and glad I went as I won’t get to train legs until Sunday now.

    One great way of proving to yourself that you’re already doing enough, is simply try out the route of adding in more and more. And experiencing first hand under recovery and the symptoms of doing too much.

    Humans learn the best by negative feedback. Aka touching a hot pan when you’re a child and then you learn not to do it again.
